GameSpot has posted a lengthy gameplay video for Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire. Below, you can view 25 minutes of footage from the game showing character creation, ship combat, and questing.

Nintendo has shared the first English character highlight series trailer for Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition. You can see it below.

SimFabric has revealed that it’s porting Rise of Insanity to Switch. It’s due out in Q3 2018.

Originally released on Steam just last month, Rise of Insanity is a first-person psychological horror game. It takes inspiration from psychological horror movies including The Shining, The Exorcist, and Silent Hill.

According to Bloomberg, Nintendo has created a Switch-related partnership with Scrum Ventures “to scout startups working on new ways to play or use” the system.

Original (4/11): Earlier in the year, a figure based on Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was revealed. It’s now confirmed that pre-orders will be opening tomorrow. We’ll be sure to pass along all of the relevant links when they’re live.

Update (4/12): Ninja Striker! is now listed for April 19 on the European eShop, so it should be the same day worldwide.


Original (4/11): Several months ago, Flyhigh Works announced plans to bring Ninja Striker! to Switch. We can now say that it’s launching very soon.

In Japan, Ninja Striker! will be out via the eShop on April 19 for 500 yen. It’s also confirmed for this month in the west.

As many of you know, there’s been an ongoing saga over Billy Mitchell’s supposed high score in Donkey Kong. Twin Galaxies handed down its verdict today, stripping Mitchell of his scores in Donkey Kong as well as other games. Additionally, he’s been banned from submitting scores to Twin Galaxies – a significant blow as it’s the world’s largest tracker of gaming records.

Twin Galaxies ultimately determined that Mitchell’s high score of 1,047,200 was not earned on an arcade machine. Instead, it’s believed that he achieved the record through emulation software. Steve Wiebe is now said to be the first official million point record holder following today’s news.

This week, Atlus published a massive developer Q&A for Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey. Director Eiji Ishida, world setting investigator / level designer Tatsuya Watanabe, and Alex’s character designer / new demon designer Masayuki Doi fielded all sorts of questions from fans.

The developers spoke about the game itself, including setting, characters, and difficulty. Other topics like the series’ future and more were touched on as well.
