Another round of data is in from this month’s NPD report. Along with the best-sellers on Switch and 3DS specifically for the month of October, we also have a list of the games that have sold the best in the U.S. so far this year and over the last twelve months. NPD Group has released a listing of the top twenty best-selling games in the U.S. for the month of October 2017. The results can be found below.

Nintendo has sent out a statement in response to the latest NPD report. Once again, the company has very good news to share.

In October, Switch was the best-selling gaming hardware in the US. It was followed by the Super NES Classic Edition at #2. Nintendo says that, when combined with 3DS, Nintendo systems accounted for two-thirds of all video game hardware sold for the second month in a row. The US gaming industry achieved hardware sales of more than 1 million total units in October for the first time since 2011.

Regarding software, Super Mario Odyssey was the top-selling game despite the fact that it launched at the end of the month. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild placed at #10 and #11 respectively as individual games.

GameStop’s Black Friday 2017 deals are in. Compared to what we’ve seen from other retailers, there isn’t too much here that’s terribly exciting.

Hollow will be on Switch early next year. While we wait for the game, have a look at some early footage in the video below.

PM Studios and acttil announced today that the music game MUSYNX is heading to Switch. It will be sold physically and digitally in North America in Q1 2018. As far Europe, news about the release format will be shared “shortly.”

Fire Emblem Heroes updated once again last night with new content. Takumi and Hinoka are featured in a summoning focus and Bound Hero Battle. Check out some footage below.

Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap is on sale for the first time. Starting today, the game is 30 percent off from the original $19.99 price on the North American and European Switch eShops. The sale lasts until November 30.

Everyone’s favorite video game developer is celebrating a birthday today. That’s right – Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of hit franchises like Mario and Zelda, is now 65 years old. Miyamoto was born on November 16, 1952.
