Stardew Valley’s Switch patch is coming closer to release. It’s been submitted, meaning it shouldn’t be too long until the patch makes it out to players.

One interesting thing included with the update is video capture. We didn’t know about this previously, but Chucklefish has confirmed that you’ll be able to record gameplay clips similar to Super Mario Odyssey once the patch is released.

All signs are pointing to Green Game: TimeSwapper coming to Switch next week. What Nintendo has listed on its website as well as what’s on the eShop may very well mean that we’ll be seeing it on November 17.

Nintendo’s North American website lists Green Game: TimeSwapper for that very day. Meanwhile, the European Switch eShop also has it down for November 17. There could always be a last-minute change, but next week’s launch is in sight.

As for what Green Game: TimeSwapper actually is, while we’ve covered it previously, we have more information and a trailer below.

Julian Eggebrecht is the president of Factor 5. You may not be aware of this, but he’s also the vice president of technology at Hulu.

It was almost a funny coincidence that Eggebrecht appeared on this week’s episode of Nintendo Voice Chat from IGN. He largely talked about Factor 5, but also had a bit to say about the new launch of Hulu on Switch. Hulu just made it to Nintendo’s console on Thursday.

When asked why Hulu didn’t appear on Switch until now, Eggebrecht explained:

For Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon, Tomy created a new Z-Power Ring Set. The real life toy is compatible with both versions of the game as well as the original titles from last year.

A new listing from Amazon contains new information about the Z-Power Ring Set:

Digital Foundry is back with a new Switch technical analysis. Doom, which pushes the system to its max, is one very interesting title to look at.

It’s to be expected, but Doom’s visual quality has dropped on Switch. It has an adaptive resolution, with it usually sitting at around 600p when docked. The depth-of-field buffer and alpha effects appear to be rendered at a quarter resolution. Temporal anti-aliasing can make the action look a bit blurry on the big screen.

Inversus Deluxe has received a new update. Hypersect began distributing the latest patch this week, version 1.5.11.

The new update adds a bit of new content and makes a number of fixes / adjustments across the board. We have the full patch notes below.

Nintendo has announced that a new update for Fire Emblem Heroes will be distributed towards the end of this month. Specifics haven’t been announced, but we should be hearing more about the Feh Channel broadcast on November 14 / November 15.

Nintendo also intends to conduct maintenance on Fire Emblem Heroes next week. The downtime schedule is as follows:

– 3 PM PT (November 14) – 6 PM PT (November 14)
– 6 PM ET (November 14) – 9 PM ET (November 14)
– 11 PM in the UK (November 14) – 2 AM in the UK (November 15)
– 12 AM in Europe (November 15) – 3 Am in Europe (November 15)

Ubisoft is shutting down online services for a number of Wii U / Wii games as of today. In a statement posted on the company’s forums, it was noted that ending services for older games with a smaller audience will allow the IT and service staff to focus on newer and more popular titles.

The lineup of affected Nintendo titles is as follows:

This week, it was revealed that Pokemon GO developer Niantic is creating a new mobile game Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. That means the studio is involved with three different on-going titles between that project, Pokemon GO, and Ingress.

Despite taking on Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, Niantic doesn’t intend to abandon Pokemon GO. The company said in a statement that the team is still “100% committed” to the game. Additionally, the Pokemon GO team is looking to expand, and we’ll be hearing about “upcoming improvements to certain features” next week.
