At the Nintendo World Championships qualifiers last weekend, attendees at Best Buy were given a flyer containing pre-order news about Super Mario Odyssey. The page stated that pre-orders placed between August 18 and September 23 would come with a collectible coin.

Thankfully, Best Buy has confirmed that the offer will apply to previous reservations that were placed. A store representative on the official Best Buy forums said that the coin should be applied “retroactively added prior to release, so there should be no reason to cancel and replace your pre-order.”

Nintendo Australia prepared a new Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle-related video informing upcoming players about what they shouldn’t do when the game launches next week. It’ll help you ensure you’re adequately prepared for the Rabbid infested Mushroom Kingdom. Check out the video below.

Monster Hunter Stories is about two weeks away from launching in the west. Since the release is so close, Nintendo has started a pre-load option on the North American 3DS eShop.

Pre-loading will let you get an early start on launch. You can purchase Monster Hunter Stories in advance and download most of its data. Then on release date, you’ll only need a small update to begin playing.

Monster Hunter Stories takes up 14,736 blocks digitally. That amounts to 1.8GB.

Sonic Mania didn’t appear on the UK charts. There’s a good reason for that, however. As it technically counts as a digital title, it can’t be counted in the boxed charts.

The good news is that Sonic Mania is doing just fine so far. GamesIndustry reports that, after speaking with SEGA, “if digital downloads were included then its game would have topped the charts by a large margin.”

SEGA may provide sales figures down the road. On Switch at least, Sonic Mania has been topping the eShop charts. It’s held steady at the number one position since launch.
