Update: Well, maybe not. It still may very well be happening, but it seems this blurb has already been removed from the Steam page. We’ll try to get an official answer for you soon.
Original (2/9): Snake Pass has a big name working on its soundtrack. According to the official Steam page, David Wise is handling the music.
Wise is one of the most well-known composers working in the gaming industry right right. In his early days, he worked on a bunch of games for Rare. More recently, he was involved with Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and the upcoming Yooka-Laylee.
We should have more on Snake Pass in the near future.
When Dragon Quest VIII launched in the west last month, new items were supposed to be delivered via SpotPass. For whatever reason though, nothing had been sent out to player – until now. Nintendo confirmed on Twitter today that, although “later than planned”, bonus items are going out.
Nintendo is now taking pre-orders for the Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia – Valentia Complete edition in Japan today. To give fans a better idea as to what they’re purchasing, Nintendo gave a preview of sorts.
First, we have several images showing the special artbook, Sound Selection Echoes CD, and Fire Emblem HD Movie Collection. The CD can also be found in the Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia Limited Edition.
The artbook will be 40 pages long, while the Blu-ray disc with HD versions of all the movies from Radiant Dawn, Awakening, Fates, and Echoes is over 90 minutes long.
Last but not least, we have a few samples from the CD. Below you can listen to two comparison tracks of the original Famicom version and the new arrangement for the remake. The first is a battle theme whereas the second is a chapter 2 map theme.
