The Worldfolio published a rare interview with Masayoshi Tanimura, the chairman and CEO of HAL Laboratory. Tanimura chatted about HAL’s relationship with Nintendo, how the team tries to make Kirby games for all players, and a few other topics.

We’ve picked out the notable excerpts from the interview below. You can read the full thing here.

Speaking with GameSpot, Bethesda game director Todd Howard said that Nintendo was “less interested” in the company’s games in the past. However, that has since changed.

Howard noted that Nintendo has been a “very good partner” for Bethesda in its effort to bring Skyrim to the Switch. “Whereas before they were less interested in the types of things that we did or some other groups did,” he said.

Howard also had some praise for Switch. Regarding the new platform, he had this to say:

“I think it’s really smart what they’ve done. I think it’s the kind of device that only Nintendo could make. It’s exciting to bring Skyrim to the Nintendo audience. I don’t know where it’s gonna go. But I think it’s a really smart platform. We like it a lot.”

The Pokémon Company seems to be constantly looking for new opportunities to increase their brand appreciation, and the latest news show that some Pokémon will be transformed into Mega Bloks.

Or at least the re-branded line Mega Construx, as Mattel has acquired the license and will start selling Pokémon Mega Construx this summer in North America. The new line of toys will feature Charizard, Pikachu and some other creatures from the first games.

According to The Pokémon Company’s VP of marketing, Colin Palmer:

“Mega Construx brings the engaging world of Pokémon to life in one of the most popular play expressions for kids today. We bring only the highest quality Pokémon experiences to our fans around the world and Mega Brands’ attention to detail and thoughtful creativity with Mega Construx is sure to delight kids as well as the most passionate Pokémon trainers.”

Kotaku encourages us to keep checking their site because the Pokémon Mega Construx will be at Toy Fair 2017 in New York this weekend and they will probably share more images.

Update 2: We’re now hearing that orders are being cancelled. Guess it was too good to be true!

Update: Deal is dead.

Original: Amazon UK seems to have made a massive error, as the digital version of 1-2-Switch is currently going for just £1.99 on the site. It goes without saying that we have a price mistake on our hands.

You can try ordering a copy right here. We’ll have to hope that orders aren’t cancelled, but that could be a possibility.

Another video of the Switch’s interface and menus has popped up, this time showing different profile pictures to unlock. These include Miis, which have a new editor. The footage does not show much of the actual Mii editor, but it does show that you can change their expression and pose for your profile picture.
