Cartoon Network and GameMill Entertainment have formally announced Cartoon Network: Battle Crashers. Screenshots from the game are available along with details.
Cartoon Network: Battle Crashers is described as a side-scrolling action game with lighthearted humor. A tear in the universe is created after Uncle Grandpa accidentally hits the multidimensional switch on his RV. In doing so, the heroes of some of Cartoon Network’s biggest shows are brought together to take down threats from their animated worlds.
Six playable characters are included: Uncle Grandpa, Finn & Jake from Adventure Time, Rigby & Mordecai from Regular Show, Clarence, Gumball from The Amazing World of Gumball, and Steven of Steven Universe. Each one can be swapped at any time. With some enemies, you’ll need to use a specific hero’s ability to defeat them. GameMill promises “special stages with varied gameplay, boss battles and light character progression and customization.”
Cartoon Network: Battle Crashers will be a solo experience on 3DS. Unfortunately, the co-op multiplayer feature we heard about in a previous retailer listing is only in the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions. But there is a bonus Bonkers mode in which players can replay stages “with even more wild challenges”.
Cartoon Network: Battle Crashers launches in November. The game will be available both physically and digitally.

Capcom has shared another two character profiles for Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice. Today, we’re able to learn a bit more about Maya Fey and Ahlbi Ur’gaid.
Find the full rundown on both characters below. For those that missed it, Phoenix and Rayfa’s profiles are here.
In the second of our series covering just some of the many characters in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice, we take a break from our protagonist and newly introduced royal priestess Rayfa to focus on the return of Phoenix’s long-time friend, Spirit Medium (in training), and Ace Assistant, Maya Fey! We’ll also be discussing the capable (if not overzealous) new character Ahlbi Ur’gaid, a young monk who also works as a tour guide. Turns out these two have a bit more in common than one might think.
Maya made her first appearance in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney as part of a twisting and gloomy case that implicated Maya as a murder suspect. Despite Maya being initially accused of the crime – an accusation that Phoenix quickly clears after taking on Maya’s case himself – Maya soon joins forces with Phoenix to find the true murderer and bring them to justice. Following the sad circumstances that resulted in Phoenix and Maya inheriting the Fey & Co. Law Offices, Maya soon decided that she wanted to take on the role of Phoenix’s assistant. This new friendship born out of tragedy resulted in not only the offices being rebranded as the Wright & Co. Law Offices, but also helped lift Maya’s mood, soon bringing her back to her naturally cheery self. Maya’s unique ability to channel the spirits of the dead (which causes her physical appearance to change as a result), alongside her natural intuition and optimistic outlook, helped Phoenix through many of his early cases – though her channeling sometimes caused her more problems than it solved!

Poncho has finally landed on the Wii U eShop in both North America and Europe. View some footage int he video below.
Yesterday we posted some comments from EA executive vice president Patrick Soderlund in response to a question Game Informer asked about NX. Now we have additional statements from another staffer: Peter Moore.
Moore was asked about EA’s stance on NX support, but like Soderlund, he was non-committal. Here’s the exchange between the two sides:
Eurogamer: Nintendo – it also has a new console coming out. EA, like a lot of publishers, were kind of quiet on Wii U. What is EA’s stance on supporting NX?
Peter Moore: I don’t know – obviously a lot of details are still to be unveiled. EA has developed for Nintendo for 30 years and I was famously quoted as saying we’re still good friends. I have lived the console cycle’s ups and downs – I launched the Dreamcast. Some publishers got behind that and some didn’t. But certainly, EA has never come out and said it won’t develop for Nintendo.
Eurogamer: EA had that ‘special relationship’ announcement for Wii U which never really materialised – how do you see NX being different in that regard? It sounds like Nintendo are again choosing a path which is not trying to compete with other consoles EA supports and simply be another Xbox or PlayStation. Does that make Nintendo a more difficult proposition to support?
Peter Moore: Nintendo has always based its success on its first-party games because it is a brilliant first-party developer. If you asked that question to them they’d say they have to launch with first-party software first – that’s where the first dev kits go.
A brand new Pokemon was revealed for Sun/Moon at Gamescom 2016 today. The Pokemon Company has introduced the new creature known as Turtonator. Watch its reveal trailer below.
Here’s what we know about Turtonator:
More information about the new Pokémon:
Name: Turtonator
Category: Blast Turtle Pokémon
Type: Fire/Dragon
Height: 6’07”
Weight: 467.4 lbs.
Ability: Shell ArmorThe Blast Turtle Pokémon Turtonator lives around volcanoes and camouflages itself as a rock to wait for its prey. This Pokémon feeds on sulfur and other materials found near volcanic craters, and as a result its shell is covered in a layer of explosive material. During battle, when something strikes Turtonator, sparks fly from the horns on its shell, igniting this layer and causing an explosion.
Turtonator can learn the exclusive move Shell Trap. With this move, the Pokémon lays a trap for the opponent at the start of the turn. If Turtonator is hit by an opponent’s physical attack during that turn, the trap triggers an explosion resulting in huge damage to the opponent.
Paper Mario: Color Splash was featured during Nintendo’s Gamescom Twitch stream earlier today. Take a look at the video below for a half hour of footage – specifically from Dark Bloo Inn.
