Last week, we heard that Nintendo and Vans are parterning on some new sneakers. We saw several designs that are in the pipeline, but as it turns out, there are a few more in the works.
Here are the rest (including one that’s actually sandals):
The Nintendo and Vans sneakers are expected out next month. Based on what’s listed on German shoe store 43Einhalb, they could range from $50 to $100 when converted from Euros.
Nintendo isn’t done with its New 3DS Virtual Console news for Japan.
As we mentioned a short while ago, five new SNES games are out now on the 3DS eShop. Additionally, these titles are set to arrive next month in Japan:
– Kirby’s Dream Course
– Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem
– The Legend of the Mystical Ninja
– Super Street Fighter II: The New Challenger
Finally, two Super Famicom-themed prepaid cards have been revealed. In the picture above, the one on the left is being sold at 7-Eleven while the one on the right is offered by Lawson. There are limited quantities of both.
Five new SNES games have just launched on the Japanese New 3DS Virtual Console. The lineup includes
Mega Man 7, Mega Man X, Contra III: The Alien Wars, Super Mario Kart, and Donkey Kong Country 3. Trailers for each title can be found below.
Wes Copeland retook the Donkey Kong record this past week with 1,218,000 points, and essentially achieved a “perfect” game as he did not lose a single Mario in the process. Copeland was the previous record holder in January, but was topped by Robbie Lakeman last month who obtained a score of 1,190,000.
On Facebook, Copeland indicated that this is his “last record score.” Lakeman may be done as well, having chimed in on the situation with the following message: “I’m not lucky enough. Good enough, but not lucky enough.”
Here’s a look at Copeland’s playthrough:

Ratalakia Games has shared updates on two games slated for Nintendo platforms while also announcing a new one.
First up is Defend Your Crypt, a project made by the team internally. Ratalakia Games hopes to have this game ready around May for Wii U, 3DS, and PC.
Blasting Agent: Ultimate Edition by Axol Studio is another title we’ve heard about from Ratalakia. We knew the port was coming to 3DS, but a Wii U version is now confirmed as well. The goal is to have the game complete during the first half of this year.
