Project Guard is still alive, and it’s coming very soon. The game has been rebranded as “Star Fox Guard” and will be launching alongside Star Fox Zero.

Star Fox Zero received a new update during today’s Nintendo Direct. Brand new information was shared about the game.

Today’s Nintendo Direct will begin at 5 PM ET / 2 PM PT / 10 PM in the UK / 11 PM in Europe (2 hours from now). Streams for all three broadcasts (North America, Europe, Japan) are embedded below. The North American presentation is 41 minutes long, and the Japanese presentation is 39 minutes long.

I’m also going to be handing this post off to someone else – probably Dennis – to handle a live blog for us. That will begin below once the presentation begins, and will mainly be based on the North American stream.

With that, keep those expectations in check and enjoy the show!

Another round of Terraria footage has come online, this time showing off multiplayer. Check it out below.

Nintendo is starting a new developer series based on Fire Emblem Fates. Check out the first episode below called “A Tale of Two Families: Birthright”.

A couple of days ago, Nintendo UK announced its Countdown Clash series of videos leading up to the launch of Pokken Tournament. Fans were presented with two matchups – Pikachu Libre vs Chandelure and Lucario vs Gengar – and were asked to vote who they thought would win. You can now check out the results in the video posted below. The next matchups are also announced in this video: Garchomp vs Charizard and Machamp vs Blaziken. Voting opens next Monday.

Earlier today we reported that the Pokemon GO presentation scheduled to take place at Game Developers Conference this year has been cancelled. Initially, no explanation or reason was given – the presentation was simply listed as “cancelled” on the GDC website.

However, GameInformer has reached out to developer Niantic and received a reply. Here’s the statement from Niantic’s CEO John Hanke, who was going to host the now-cancelled presentation, in full:

“We have decided to forego our GDC talk on Pokémon GO in order to focus on getting the product ready for beta test and launch,” says Niantic CEO John Hanke. “As much as we hate to disappoint those in the industry attending GDC, we feel our time and energy right now are best spent on making sure every aspect of the product is where we want it to be.”

So there you have it. Certainly disappointing, but an understandable reason. Hanke doesn’t mention any development hiccups and stresses that the product is heading for its beta test and launch, so it doesn’t seem like the game is going to be delayed significantly.
