We’ve posted several videos this week of LEGO Marvel’s Avengers on consoles. But how did the 3DS version shape up? Take a look at some footage below showing TT Games’ efforts on Nintendo’s portable.
Late last year, an event for the Mother series was held in Japan. Nintendo Dream was in attendance, and spoke up with well-known designer Shigesato Itoi.
In the interview, Itoi commented on topics such as Mother 3’s development (cancelling the project on the Nintendo 64 before moving onto the Game Boy Advance), the series in general, the fans, and plenty more.
We now have a complete translation of Nintendo’s Dream’s piece. To read it in full, head past the break.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve continued to learn about how The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess improves upon the original game. The Wii U title features things like sharper visuals, easier transformations and gyroscope aiming, plus faster animations and better load times. This month’s GamesMaster touches upon even more of the improvements.
In a short article which also contains a few comments from Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma, the magazine reveals that Epona handles better and Link has increased mobility while swimming. “Looking back now, getting the controls for both land and water just right has proven to be a big challenge throughout the series,” Aonuma said.
GamesMaster also touches upon another change regarding chests in Twilight Princess HD:
“In the original, if your wallet was full and you opened a chest that contained Rupees, the Rupees would remain in the chest and its lid would close. The problem here being that in previous games players used open chests to know they’d visited a location, and this change meant they could no longer do that. Aonuma and his team considered this and reimplemented chests that remain open after you interact with them.”
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD launches on March 4. Australian developer Tantalus is primarily handling the Wii U release.
Nintendo has released new screenshots of Bayonetta and Corrin in Smash Bros., which we’ve rounded up below. The images include a first look at both characters in the 3DS version.
Update: We’re actually getting the two characters a bit earlier in North America! Bayonetta and Corrin are due out on February 3 in the states. The sixth wave of Mii Fighter costumes are also arriving at the same time. Note that this is February 4 in Europe.

Bayonetta and Corrin will release as the final DLC characters in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS, director Masahiro Sakurai announced today. The news was just shared during the Niconico Championship held at Tokaigi 2016.
A match between Corrin and Bayonetta was also shown during the event. We have it below, along with two other videos from Nintendo.
Let’s Talk #38: What do you want to see out of NX?
It was almost a year ago that we first heard about NX. Late Nintendo president Satoru Iwata announced the platform during the same conference where the mobile partnership with DeNA was made known, which was a move to assure fans that the company is still dedicated to core gaming systems.
We’ll finally be hearing more about NX this year. At the very latest, news will be coming in June at E3, though I’d be surprised if Nintendo didn’t touch on it a bit before then. We’re only a month into 2015, yet the rumor mill is already stirring with plenty of speculation. And as the months go on, we only expect this to continue. Rumors will persist so long as Nintendo remains quiet!
Everyone is anxiously awaiting new information about NX… which might not be an entirely bad thing! It allows us all to keep dreaming and imagining different elements about the system. We want to hear from you guys on this very subject: what do you want to see out of NX? Tell us in the comments below!
