Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire’s first update is now available for download from the 3DS eShop. The update is also available in Europe despite the game not being out there yet, so those looking to pick up the game can pre-load the patch. It should come as no surprise, but no official changelog has been released. We’ll keep you updated if anything surfaces!

…By the way, this model is actually a trophy. Diorama style. The Orbital Gate Assault stage actually took a whole year to complete.

Well, how about this! On today’s episode of Dancing with the Stars, one of the couples went all out with a complete Super Mario Bros. performance – down to the music and props on stage!

Thanks to Cameron for the tip.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U contains something known as the “World Status” mode. By hitting up this mode, you’ll see a ticker featuring random statistics collected by players.

Kotaku grabbed the following stats below from this morning:

2,297,299,984 hours of play time – almost a third as much as the entire Halo franchise
6,432,211,879 total damage received
118,676,889 total KOs worldwide
1,446,231 miles total distance the Sandbag has traveled in Home Run Contest – almost six times the distance from the Earth to the moon
3,899,843 online battles held YESTERDAY
10,731,978 online battles ever held
22,107,817 battles overall (offline and offline)

We can’t say this with absolute certainty, but it does appear that Super Smash Bros. for 3DS is included in the data. It’d be tough for the Wii U game alone to accumulate 2.2 billion hours of play within 96 hours of its release!
