This information comes from Metroid Prime producer Kensuke Tanabe when if Metroid Prime Federation Force is the only Metroid Prime game he’s working on…

“I said this at the beginning, but I’m not involved in the 2D Metroid games that Mr. Sakamoto works on. I still feel like there’s a little more work left for me to do in the Metroid Prime series. I can’t say when, but I want to make another one.

– Tanabe reminded IGN about the ending of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
– After Samus’s ship flies off into the distance, another ship suddenly appears
– He said that players Metroid Prime Hunters should recognize that the ship belongs to a bounty hunter called Sylux.

“He’s actually chasing after Samus, and that’s where that game ends. There’s still more I want to build around the story of Sylux and Samus. There’s something going on between them. I want to make a game that touches upon [it].”

“I’m also thinking that, in that eventual game between Sylux and Samus that might get made, that I wants to involve the [Galactic] Federation as well. So it would be a good idea to release a game like Federation Forces to flesh out its role in the galaxy before moving on to that.”

Nintendo announced a new entry in the Star Fox series during E3 2015 last year. But since the game was in such early development, only a few select members of the press were given an opportunity to see it for the first time.

During its Digital Event, Nintendo made sure to host a proper blowout of the new Star Fox game for Wii U. The game is coming this holiday.

Nintendo’s Digital Event will begin at 12 PM ET / 9 AM PT / 5 PM in the UK / 6 PM in Europe (1 hour from now). You can watch the live stream as it happens below.

Jon will be handling the live blog portion of our coverage, so all updates will follow below once the event begins. I’ll also be adding new posts to the site as announcements are made. Expect TONS of additional coverage of Nintendo’s E3 2015 presence throughout the day as well as the entire week.

Star Fox Zero (Wii U)

• Gamepad footage shown – inside cockpit
• Arwings transform – Ground form shown with 2 legs
• Tanks, hovercrafts, other vehicles shown. All with varying use on the gamepad
• Gyro controls confirmed as an option
  • Talks about varied control schemes thanks to the gamepad and 2 sticks
• Walker was originally from Star Fox 2 but the game never made it out
• Landmaster returns
• Gyrowing can send a recon unit which is viewable from the gamepad

Skylanders: Super Charger

• Turbo Charged Donkey Kong + Barrel Blaster vehicle announced

• A Link Between Worlds art style
• 4-swords inspired
• Outfit Link with new clothing – Samurai + Jester outfits shown
• Focus on multiplayer and co-op – Previously was competitive, get more rupees etc. but the focus this game is co-operative elements
• Totem Mechanic is the ability for Links to carry each other on their shoulders and reach higher places
• 4 players was too tall so they settled on 3
• For single player there are supporting doll characters, can switch like in 4 swords
• Set in a fashion savvy city and each player claims to be the hero… and so it begins
• Online play confirmed

Hyrule Warriors: All stars

• Switch between characters by tapping the bottom screen

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has been tweeting about Super Mario Maker on the company’s North American Twitter account. In one of his messages, Iwata reveals that the game will come packed with an unspecified amount of pre-made courses. He suggests that players amend some of these levels if they feel uneasy about creating big courses of their own.
