Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster

Following its debut in Japan last year, Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster releases in the west on May 25.

Bandai Namco has announced that Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions will be receiving new content this week. A free story update arrives on April 21, followed by DLC 3 on April 22.

The update will allow players to access the Hanawa MS route at no extra cost. Pepe, Xiao Junguang, and Taichi Nakanishi will be featured as part of the new DLC.

Spiritfarer Lily Update

A new Lily Update for Spiritfarer has just gone live, Thunder Lotus Games has announced. Version 1.6 is the first of three free updates planned for the game this year.

Square Enix

Several companies have confirmed their involvement with E3 2021, including Nintendo. Now you can add Square Enix to the list as well.

CEO Yosuke Matsuda confirmed to Nikkei that the company is planning announcements for this year’s E3. Naturally, he didn’t elaborate as to what’s in store.

E3 2021 will take place between June 12 and June 15. Nintendo, Xbox, Capcom, Konami, Ubisoft, Take-Two Interactive, Warner Bros. Games, and Koch Media are all confirmed for the show outside of Square Enix.

Nongunz: Doppelganger Edition

Digerati and Brainwash Gang have set a final release date for Nongunz: Doppelganger Edition. The nihilistic action-platformer will launch digitally for Switch on May 6, the two sides confirmed today.

Quantum League

Nimble Giant Entertainment is back with another trailer for Quantum League, its time paradox shooter. Watch it below.

Quantum League will be released on Switch in the future, though a date hasn’t been announced.

Epic Chef

Team17 and Infinigon Games introduced the latest trailer for Epic Chef this week. It introduces Ambrosia, “a city steeped in history and folklore, full of friendly faces, beautiful scenery and delicious local cuisines”.

Nintendo Switch

Nintendo just released another firmware update for all Switch systems. Users can now access version 12.0.1.

As for what the update entails, there’s nothing here that’s overly exciting. Nintendo mentions that it’s simply about improving system stability.
