In today’s discussion, company president Satoru Iwata sits down with a few of the developers behind the recent StreetPass Relay Points. Ping 2 is primed for a Wii U release, creator Christopher Arnold has announced.

Arnold took to Twitter and also revealed that he is now an official Wii U developer.

Ping 2’s premise is simple. It’s very much a Pong-like game, with a classic-looking style. The original Ping was created for Android devices.

Nintendo has officially reduced the price of three of its own Wii titles. Super Mario Galaxy 2, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and Wii Sports Resort will not carry an official $29.99 price starting today.

Nintendo has also confirmed lifetime sales of all three titles. Super Mario Galaxy 2 has sold over 2.7 million copies in the US, while New Super Mario Bros. Wii has sold more than 9.4 million. Wii Sports Resort’s sales come in at close to 7 million.

Nintendo will broadcast a Monster Hunter 4 Direct this Sunday, the company has announced. The presentation will be held at 8 PM Japan time – that’s 7 AM ET / 4 AM PT.
