Nintendo’s website confirms this week’s Wii U Virtual Console release for North America. Tomorrow, it will be possible to purchase and download Super Street Fighter II Turbo Revival. This is the GBA port of the original game.

Here’s a brief overview:

“Choose from over 16 brawlers from the Street Fighter universe. The original eight world warriors are back, along with four playable boss characters and four newcomers. Execute special moves and super combos to wreak havoc on your opponent. There can be only one street fighter champion!”

Super Street Fighter II Turbo Revival will be available for $7.99.

Gaijin Hunter has poked through the latest issue of Famitsu and has uncovered even more details about the game. All of the new information from the magazine is in the video below.

Square Enix has released a new Final Fantasy Explorers infographic that shows off the game’s various jobs. There are 21 in total, each of which have their own unique abilities and skillsets.

Included in the western version are the specialized Blue Mage and Samurai jobs. These two were previously only available as DLC in Japan.

Final Fantasy Explorers launches in North America on January 26 and Europe on January 29.

RCMADIAX is developing yet another title for the Wii U eShop. In Q1 of next year, the indie studio will bring out “Skeasy”, a high score chaser. A trailer will be shown sometime next week.

The Nintendo UK store has opened up pre-orders for the Mega Yarn Yoshi amiibo. There are three different options to check out here. There’s the standalone version (£34.99), plus two different bundles at £74.99 and £116.99 which feature items like Yoshi’s Woolly World, other Yoshi amiibo, and a mini bag.

Guitar Hero Live has added new songs from Rival Sons, a rising rock band from Southern California. Those tracks are as follows:

Keep On Swinging (Live)
Pressure and Time (Live)
Electric Man (Live)

Along with songs from Rival Sons, other new music videos are now playable in GHTV today, including new tracks from System of a Down, Judas Priest and more, via the Lords of Metal and Pop Punk Perfection premium shows. They are:

System of a Down – Toxicity
Judas Priest – Painkiller
Bullet For My Valentine – Tears Don’t Fall

Pop Punk Perfection

Finally, before 2015 ends, Activision will introduce more playable live footage from the Guitar Hero Live launch party, including tracks from Weezer and Grizfolk.

Wii U’s third birthday is today. The console debuted in North America on November 18, 2012. The console may have had its struggles, but it’s still delivered some fantastic games like Mario Kart 8, Splatoon, Super Mario Maker, Super Mario 3D World, Bayonetta 2, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, and plenty more.

I’ll also throw out a mention for the GameCube as well, which is sort of celebrating a birthday as well. That system came out in the United States 14 years ago.
