Monster Hunter Rise

New information has been shared regarding the initial performance of Monster Hunter Rise in the UK.

As reported by GamesIndustry, it’s now the second biggest launch for the franchise in the region. Monster Hunter Rise’s launch sales are 43% lower than World, though it’s important to remember that Rise is on just one platform and digital data isn’t included.

As another comparison, physical sales are more than twice the size of Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate on 3DS.

Monster Hunter Rise

Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter Rise has shipped over 4 million units globally. They made this announcement over their official website, also adding that Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is still slated for a July 9 2021 release date, and that it will feature some connections to Monster Hunter Rise:

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl

It’s time for the latest Famitsu’s most wanted games chart. Pokemon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl appears for the first time, and Monster Hunter Rise ends its run with almost 1,000 votes.

Head past the break for the full chart. All votes were cast between March 11 and March 17.

Two Point Hospital

Two Point Hospital was recently given a new update on Switch. In addition to improved stability, there’s a small balance adjustment and a whole bunch of fixes.

The full patch notes are as follows:

A-Train: All Aboard! Tourism

System: Switch
Release date: March 12, 2021
Developer: Artdink
Publisher: Artdink

The city simulator style of gameplay has been around since SimCity released on various platforms back in 1989. Since then, the formula has been used in a variety of ways to give players the chance to customize their own towns, homes, farms, and explore the concept of planning and managing bustling communities over the decades. Believe it or not though, A-Train’s series has been going on since before the Sim craze began, releasing its first game back in 1985 on the beloved NES among other platforms. Artdink’s long-running franchise has become a beloved staple of urban planning, and this release on Switch brings the storied history of the title to more people than ever before – but is will this management adventure become a tedious grind, or a relaxing past-time?

Gnosia

System: Switch
Release date: March 4, 2021
Developer: Petit Depot
Publisher: Playism

There’s an intriguing aspect to deducing fallacies, misconceptions, and lies that constantly keep us thinking deeper and trying to uncover any sort of truth in places where it’s difficult to do so. Crime thrillers and detective work have consistently been a genre and style of narrative that we gravitate towards as we feel as if we’re playing a part in what’s happening. Gnosia, which is being localized for the first time on Switch, offers that exact kind of experience. It brings with it a unique and fascinating dive alongside a new perspective into the visual novel genre by implementing elements not normally seen to keep it further engaging. Gnosia’s sci-fi visual novel mystery amalgam is excellent in every sense of the word, and its brilliance shines the further into it you get with each of its gameplay sessions.

Super Mario 3D All-Stars

A lot is happening in the world of Nintendo after March 31. Three Switch releases are going away – two for Super Mario and one for Fire Emblem.

As for what you can currently purchase, Super Mario 3D All-Stars and Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light are up for grabs. Once April 1 rolls in though, that’ll be it. Both releases will be removed from the eShop, and you shouldn’t expect additional stock to be shipped to retailers. However, anything previously purchased – be it physical or digital – will still work. Digital codes not redeemed by March 31 will still function as well.

Also after March 31 is the end of Super Mario Bros. 35. The game will no longer be accessible after that date. Since it’s a part of Nintendo Switch Online, it will cease to function come April 1.

Carrion

Carrion recently received a new 1.0.8 update on Switch. Although it’s a bit late, the game has received the Greatest Time of Year DLC.

Originally released on PC last year, the DLC was a tie-in for the holidays. It’s a brand new level that can be played entirely for free.

Designer Sebastian Krośkiewicz said porting the DLC “took a bit longer than expected, but here it is.”
