Takfloyd, a Reddit user, posted that they found a incredible small detail put into the soundtrack for Breath of the Wild. They found out you can hear the morse code for the SOS distress signal when you land on the Divine Beasts for the first time.

Takfloyd wrote:

“I was listening to the soundtrack and spotted this in the first phase of Vah Medoh’s theme, then went back and paid closer attention to the other three Divine Beast background themes and indeed – one of the audio channels beeps out S.O.S. in all of them, until you activate the first terminal and the music changes. In the case of the other three beasts it’s harder to spot because the opposite channel plays a different set of beeps, but it’s unmistakably there. I thought that was interesting.”

You can hear the SOS distress signal for yourself in the first video below, coming in at around 15 seconds. We’ve also included the music for the other Divine Beasts.

Following the Nintendo Switch Presentation in January, Bandai Namco announced three games for Switch. These included new entries in the Tales of and Taiko Drum Master franchises as well as Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.

We haven’t heard about any of these titles since they were originally mentioned in January. However, in its latest financial report, all three surfaced once again. Additionally, while not absolutely confirmed, it seems as though they’re all planned for the coming fiscal year.

It’s unclear which Tales of and Taiko Drum Master games Switch will be receiving. Hopefully it won’t be too long until Bandai Namco provides official details.

Some unfortunate news for you Australians out there: There has been a bit of controversy recently over the price of the Switch version of Rime, which was initially announced as costing more than other versions of the game. Yesterday, publisher Grey Box announced that the digital Switch version of the game is now going to cost $29.99 / €34.99 / £29.99 instead of $39.99 / €44.99 / £39.99 in North America, Europe and the UK, respectively, while the physical versions will remain at the higher price point, but come with a download code for the game’s soundtrack.

Vooks inquired about the situation in the Australian market – and as it turns out, the digital version is not getting a price drop there. Both the digital and the physical version will cost $79.95AU. Like in other regions, however, the physical version will come with a download code for the soundtrack.

Luckily the Switch is region free, so Australians can just access another region’s eShop and download the game there at a lower price point.

The most recent issue of Weekly Jump magazine has introduced another new Dragon Quest XI feature – monster mounts. When defeating certain monsters in battle, you will occasionally be able to mount them. This will give you the ability to overcome various obstacles in the world and reach places you couldn’t get to on your own. Here are some examples of mounts and what you can do with them:

Dragon Rider: By riding this flying mount, you can obviously get to places you couldn’t reach on foot.

Skull Rider: You can climb up cliffs and dungeon walls using this mount.

Other than these familiar faces, there are also brand new monsters that you can ride:

Pearl Mobile: A mysterious machine that looks to be made out of a kind of metal resembling pearls. Riding it lets you leap to high places.

Bee Rider: An elite Ocobolt soldier riding a giant bee. By riding one yourself, it will allow you to cross lakes by simply flying over them.

One fan has gone above and beyond to fully customize a Switch unit. Every aspect has been redone to match the style of the Super Famicom – the console itself, the individual Joy-Con controllers, and even the dock.

What was used here are some really nice-looking skins. You can get a closer look at the customized Switch below with various photos.

This sort of makes you wonder if and when Nintendo will start coming out with different designs for Switch aside from just various Joy-Con colors. There were a ton of different options with the 3DS, so it wouldn’t be out of the blue to try something similar now.
