We’ll have to wait a bit longer for Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth in the west. The game has been delayed in North America and Europe, publisher Playism announced today.

Playism did not indicate why the release has been pushed back. However, the company said in a statement: “We deeply apologize for the disappointment and inconvenience caused to all who have been looking forward to this release.”

The latest episode of Nintendo’s Japanese show Nyannyan Neko Mario Time has now gone live featuring Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Sora in Smash Bros. Ultimate, and more. We’ve included it below.

According to new data from Nintendo, Switch systems and games sold more in the UK and across Europe during the week of November 23 than any other week in the console’s lifespan. That’s based on reported sell-through according to internal Nintendo sales data. Software sales for both physical and digital sales are included.

On the hardware front, the previous best for Switch was in November 2019. The limited bundle including a Switch console, a download code for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and a three-month individual membership to Nintendo Switch Online provided a boost in sales.

Game Awards 2021 winners

The Game Awards 2021 have just drawn to a close, and we now have the full list of winners.

Many will remember the night for new announcements, trailers, and other news that emerged from the event. However, as the name implies, awards were also a big part. The nominees featured 107 different games, individuals, teams, and events spanning across a multitude of gaming genres and platforms.

Sonic Frontiers

At The Game Awards 2021 today, SEGA provided an update on the next mainline 3D Sonic the Hedgehog game – which now has a confirmed name of Sonic Frontiers. The title will launch for Switch in Holiday 2022.

Of the new project, SEGA teases: “An experience like never before, accelerate to new heights and experience the thrill of high velocity, open-zone freedom.” The action will take place in an area known as Starfall Islands, which features “dense forests, overflowing waterfalls, sizzling deserts and more”.

Cuphead The Delicious Last Course

It’s been a long wait for The Delicious Last Course DLC for Cuphead, but Studio MDHR finally provided an update during The Game Awards 2021 today. All Switch players can access the new content starting on June 30, 2022.

Cuphead – The Delicious Last Course features Cuphead and Mugman who are now joined by Ms. Chalice – known to fans of the original as the wise Legendary Chalice. They’ll travel through the previously undiscovered Inkwell Isle. They’ll have new weapons, magical charms, and Ms. Chalice’s unique abilities on their side as they take on a new cast of fearsome, larger than life bosses to assist the jolly Chef Saltbaker in Cuphead’s final challenging quest.

A new cinematic trailer for The Lord of the Rings: Gollum has just come in, which is titled “A Split Personality”. It gives fans another look at the title – though we’re still waiting on proper gameplay.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax

Atlus is bringing the fighting title Persona 4 Arena Ultimax to Switch, the company revealed during The Game Awards 2021. It will launch on March 17, 2022.

The game originally released for arcades in 2013, followed by the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2014. It was co-developed by Arc System Works of Guilty Gear, BlazBlue, and Dragon Ball FighterZ fame.
