Ubisoft is bringing a pair of games to this year’s New York Comic-Con. Watch_Dogs as well as South Park: The Stick of Truth will have a presence at the expo next weekend.

Attendees can expect the following from Watch_Dogs’ appearance:

At the Watch Dogs theater, the adversarial mode of the companion app, Watch Dogs – ctOS Mobile, will be highlighting some of the ways players can invade other players’ games within the world of Watch Dogs. Watch Dogs – ctOS Mobile delivers revolutionary dual-screen gameplay and takes the player’s experience beyond the console. A real-time companion game, Watch Dogs – ctOS Mobile allows users to connect and compete with each other from anywhere, at any time. In Watch Dogs, players will take on the role of Aiden Pearce, a new type of vigilante who, with the help of his smartphone, will use his ability to hack into Chicago’s central operating system (ctOS) and control almost every element of the city. Fans who pre-order Watch Dogs from Amazon.com will receive an exclusive free t-shirt (while supplies last).

Ubisoft will also be running a competition, which initially began at PAX Prime:

The two apps created for Pokemon X and Y are due out on December 27. Pokemon Bank and Poke Transporter will be available on the same day, with the former carrying an annual fee of $4.99.

More information about both apps can be found here.

Many, many years ago, WayForward was working on a Shantae sequel for the Game Boy Advance. Sadly, it was cancelled due to a lack of publisher interest.

While Shantae GBA never saw the day of light, WayForward did show a demo of the project during a stream last night as a means of promoting the final hours of its Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Kickstarter. You can find footage above.

Update: Shantae: Half-Genie Hero’s Kickstarter has ended. WayForward ended up raising $776,084 on the site and another $35,878 on PayPal for a total of $811,962. PayPal donations will continue to be accepted.

With just minutes remaining in its crowdfunding campaign, Shantae: Half-Genie Hero managed to reach another stretch goal on Kickstarter. Thanks to the $800,000 in donations received on the site as well as through PayPal, the game will be receiving a second bonus chapter.

Here’s the official overview:

“Suffering one mistake too many, the Mayor hires a new Guardian Genie to replace Shantae. When Scuttle Town contracts amnesia, Shantae travels to Tassle Town to discover her rival’s true origins.”

Note that a new transformation will be included in the second bonus chapter.

Half-Genie Hero’s first bonus chapter was guaranteed at $600,000. Yesterday, costume swaps were confirmed for the new Shantae title after total funds hit $700,000.

ONM has come across another piece of art for Super Mario 3D World, and it shows a whole bunch of things (including what looks like a vague look at the Comet Observatory from Super Mario Galaxy – see image nine). You can find the full art above as well as closeups of individual sections. ONM also has some analysis here.

Aqua Moto Racing 3D will be released next week on the North American 3DS eShop, Zordix has announced. The game will be available on October 10. A final price point has not yet been confirmed.
