It’s been quite some time since we last heard about the Switch version of World War Z. Saber Interactive announced the port in April 2020, and we it’s mostly been missing in action since.
Now, however, a new listing has appeared on Amazon. It not only gives us a look at the boxart, but also what looks to be first screenshots.
Here’s the full set:
The Wii name is pretty recognizable these days, but that wasn’t always the case. When Nintendo first made that name known to the world, it received quite a bit of criticism. Some even felt that the original “Revolution” codename would have been a better fit.
Just like any major company does before introducing a new product, Nintendo considered a ton of different names originally. And now thanks to this week’s leaks, we’re able to see the many different titles that were brainstormed at one point or another. It turns out that there were well over 100.

Following a previous appearance on Apple Arcade, Doomsday Vault is now making the jump to Switch. According to an eShop listing, the adventure game will hit Nintendo’s console on August 5.
Here’s an overview of Doomsday Vault, along with a trailer:
Some fans may not remember as it was announced back in 2018, but Samurai Gunn 2 is coming to Switch – at some point. The fast-paced action game just entered Steam Early Access this week, and that milestone was accompanied by a new trailer. You can see it below.
G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout, a team-based third-person shooter based on the classic franchise, first debuted on Switch last October. It’s now about to receive a new release at retail with a “Gold Edition”.
This new version appears to be largely the same as the original, but with some extra content. The full lineup of additions are as follows:
Rumor has it that Nintendo is less than a year away from accepting submissions for games on the 3DS and Wii U eShops.
Impact Game Station claims to have received an email, likely from a developer, that outlines plans for the end of new titles. The supposed deadline will go into effect on April 1, 2022, which is when Nintendo’s next fiscal year starts. Developers are advised to have their projects “lotcheck approved latest within 3 months after the submission deadline.”

Last week, Valve unveiled its new Steam Deck system. The device has drawn plenty of comparisons to Switch since it’s capable of playing big games on the go (with docking support as well) and in some ways reminds gamers of Nintendo’s console from a design standpoint.
Valve itself has now commented on those comparisons. Designer Greg Coomer is the first to weigh in, telling IGN that Switch a “great device,” but feels the company is targeting a different audience.
He said:
Update (7/24): This sold out for a bit on Amazon Canada but is now back up here.
Original (7/22): Amazon Canada has now opened pre-orders for the Switch OLED. Both versions are available: white and neon.
You can pre-order the Switch OLED on Amazon Canada here. The system releases on October 8.
The Etrian Odyssey series was prevalent on DS, and even more so on 3DS. There have been several mainline entries, remakes, and even crossovers with the Mystery Dungeon series.
Etrian Odyssey Nexus, the latest title in the franchise, initially debuted in 2018 so it hasn’t been terribly long since the last game. But fans are curious to know what’s coming next. Atlus seemed to tease what looked to be “the next stage” of Etrian Odyssey back in 2018, though we haven’t heard anything since.
Maneater has been updated on Switch. A few days ago, Tripwire Interactive started distribution of version 1.02.
