A few more Xenoblade Chronicles details have come through a new preview on NintendoWorldReport. We have some some bits on how the game controls as well as the new Collection Mode. Read on below for a roundup of the latest details.
– No cuts aside from Japanese voice acting
– Button layout is different than on the Wii controllers
– Pick attacks by scrolling with the d-pad
– Use the ZL-button to get more control over the camera
– Use ZR to quickly let a fullscreen map pop up
– C-stick for camera controls
– Touchscreen provides information about the state of your party and a small mini-map
– Only a handful of things to collect in Collection Mode as you start out, but more are added as you progress
– 3 tokens for scanning Shulk
– 2 tokens for every player you meet in StreetPass
– 1 token for every 5 Play Coins
– If you want to unlock something new in Collection Mode for certain, you need to spend 3 tokens
– Can use the Shulk amiibo each day
– Listen to music in Collection Mode while the system is closed
Inti Creates isn’t slowing down on the Azure Striker Gunvolt news! There are two notable pieces of information to share.
The first is Azure Striker Gunvolt’s new “The Sumeragi 7” theme for 3DS. This is due out on March 5 for $1.49.
Additionally, a demo for Azure Striker Gunvolt is launching on the same day. Data can be transferred to the full version.

First let’s have a look at the new theme, “The Sumeragi 7?. This one features the seven Sumeragi boss characters in a scrolling image on the upper screen, and some nighttime city scenery on the lower screen! The boss battle theme “Sumeragi Skirmish” plays in the background. The Sumeragi 7 theme will be available for $1.49.
For those of you who haven’t had a chance to play Azure Striker Gunvolt, you now have the opportunity to try before you buy! The demo version of Azure Striker Gunvolt will be playable up to 20 times, and includes a special bonus for those of you who purchase the full version after completing the demo version! Players will be able to enjoy 500,000Vig (in game currency) and ample item snyth materials so that you can start powering up Gunvolt’s arsenal right away!
Inti Creates shared official details about Azure Striker Gunvolt’s 1.2 update, which is now confirmed for release in North America on March 5.
As previously mentioned, the patch adds New 3DS functionality and the Sakura Efflorescence song from Lumen. There’s also a new Boss Rush mission, support to transfer demo save data to the full game, and bug fixes.

Back in January, a workaround launched that made it possible to bypass the 3DS’ region lock. The “RegionThree” exploit could run so long as users downloaded a file and had access to the Internet.
With today’s new 3DS update, we’re hearing that RegionThree is kaput. It simply doesn’t work if you have the latest firmware. At the moment, its unclear how RegionThree’s creators will proceed.
Nintendo has released a new update for the 3DS bringing the system’s firmware up to version 9.5.0-23. Unsurprisingly, this one is all about improving stability.
Nintendo’s official patch note for today’s update states: “Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience.”
And that’s it! As always, you’ll need to download the update if you plan on accessing the eShop anytime soon.
