Four new Virtual Console games are on track for the Japanese Wii U eShop next week. Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers (Super Famicom), Street Fighter II: The World Warrior (Super Famicom), Street Fighter II Turbo (Super Famicom), and Bonk 3: Bonk’s Big Adventure (PC Engine) will be out on June 25. Pricing is set at 823 yen for the Super Famicom games and 617 yen for the PC Engine title.
Starting tomorrow, Japanese Wii U owners in Japan will be able to download the 2013 Nintendo Game Seminar titles. Each release will be free.

A new update is now available for Nintendo TVii.
Here’s a rundown of what’s new:
- Quicker load times across the service
- Easier access to your favorite sporting events, now including baseball! Now you can start predicting plays & climbing the leaderboard even faster
- Enhanced search functionality for all your favorite channels, shows, movies and sports to find out what’s on
- Increased TV Tag coverage to all shows on the top 70 channels
Shovel Knight is almost here. In just over a week’s time, Wii U and 3DS owners in North America will finally be able to get their hands on the game.
Thankfully, Shovel Knight doesn’t take up too much space. The download only clocks in at 184MB on Wii U, with the actual size coming in at 158MB once installed. And on 3DS, Shovel Knight only takes up 1,217 blocks on an SD card.
FUNimation has nabbed the distribution rights for the Bayonetta: Bloody Fate full-length feature film in the United States in Canada.
A “sneak peek” of the English dub of Bayonetta: Bloody Fate will be shown at the Anime Expo early next month. Additionally, director Fuminori Kizaki will be on hand at the expo on July 5 for a special Q&A.

From the team that brought you the Emmy nominated AFRO SAMURAI RESURRECTION, studio GONZO and internationally acclaimed director Fuminori Kizaki have come together once again to create this feature-length animated film based on the hugely popular video game franchise “BAYONETTA.” The film faithfully captures the extreme action and sexiness of the original, crafting a storyline that expands and further establishes the world of the sexy, shape shifting witch, Bayonetta.
The idea of using two GamePads in games is something that was brought up back in the very early days of Wii U. However, we’re coming close to the system’s second anniversary, and Nintendo hasn’t capitalized on this just yet.
So what’s the deal? Shigeru Miyamoto shared an update with IGN, noting that while dual GamePad usage can still be done from a technical standpoint, Nintendo is “at a point where we don’t feel it’s realistic to expect people to purchase two GamePads yet.”
