Bravely Default is inspired by a lot of things… including American TV dramas, interestingly enough. Director Tomoya Asano cited the older Beverly Hills 90210 show and even Glee while answering a fan question on Twitter.

Asano’s comments in full:

Nickelodeon has teamed up with Dentsu Entertainment to broadcast The Little Battlers eXperience anime in the Americas. The show will debut on Nicktoons later this year.

Dentsu Entertainment USA president and chief executive officer Yuma Sakata said:

“The LBX franchise is a great example of Dentsu Entertainment USA’s approach. The LBX series in Japan was creative and benefited from a coordinated launch by multiple partners in the broadcast, gaming, toy and licensee sectors. We think that, in working with our team of North American writers, producers, and partners, we will experience similar success in the Americas.”

The Little Battlers eXperience started out as Level-5’s RPG game series. The anime, which has seen a few different series, began airing in Japan back in 2011.

XSEED will be watching Forbidden Magna. The studio does appear to be interested in the recent-revealed 3DS title, as it told a pair of fans that it “looks great”.

The comments in full:

We just learned about it ourselves, but agree that it looks great. We can’t wait to get our hands on it and check it out ourselves eventually.

Yep, completely agree that Forbidden Magna is looking great. We’ll be keeping our eyes on it.

XSEED does have a pretty good relationship with Marvelous AQL. They’ve localized Rune Factory 4 and Senran Kagura Burst, for instance. It wouldn’t be too surprising if XSEED eventually picked up Forbidden Magna for the states as well.

gem_break

Gem Break will be coming to the Wii U in Q4, creator Mike Rowlands has confirmed. That means we’ll be seeing the title on the eShop between October 1 and December 31.

Gem Break is a strategy/casual-type game, based on the HTML5 WebKit technology within the Nintendo Web Framework, and is influenced by the likes of Peggle. At launch, it’ll come with “over 100 great and fun levels”.

Cabela’s Big Game Hunter: Pro Hunts is heading to Wii U, according to a new listing on GameFly. The title is also slated for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

This will likely be your standard Cabela game fare. We’ve seen plenty of these titles on other platforms – including Wii.

In any case, if GameFly’s listing is accurate, we’ll be seeing Cabela’s Big Game Hunter: Pro Hunts in store shelves no March 25.
