It’s time for the latest Famitsu‘s most wanted games chart! Zelda: Breath of the Wild has slipped just out of the top 10, but Pokemon Sun/Moon is now in the top 5.

Nintendo worked with a somewhat unexpected partner on The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD. Rather than handling the project internally, they opted to team up with Australian developer Tantalus, who also made the Wii U versions of Mass Effects and Deux Ex: Human Revolution.

Nintendo reached out to Tantalus about the two sides potentially collaborating back in 2013. About Twilight Princess HD, CEO Tom Crago said:

“Nintendo approached us. We had worked with them before on Top Gear Rally on GBA, and had remained in close contact in the intervening period. I guess they were impressed by the work we’d done on Mass Effect 3, which was a launch title on Wii U. It’s not every day someone from Nintendo asks you if you’d be interested in making a Zelda game, so definitely it was happy moment. By that stage Tantalus had shipped around thirty games on Nintendo platforms, and so certainly it felt like a natural fit. A huge thrill, but a natural fit. We worked with Nintendo very closely. A dedicated team in Kyoto worked with us throughout the duration of the project, and senior members of our team made several trips to Japan”.

By the way, in the same interview, Crago mentioned that he’s “very excited about” the NX.

Original (8/22): Nintendo is teaming up with Dark Horse Books for the release of The Legend of Zelda: Art and Artifacts. It’s slated for February 21, 2017.

Based on the official description, it sounds a lot like the Hyrule Graphics book Japan is getting in about a week. It contains more than 400 pages of illustrations from the entire series, including Breath of the Wild.

According to the Amazon description:

A new wave of Nintendo Selects joined the North American lineup on Friday. Five games were added, including nintendogs + cats: Golden Retriever & New Friends. Most of these titles had their prices updated on the eShop, but there’s now a strange situation surroundings the nintendogs + cats games.

Back in 2014, all three versions of nintendogs + cats became available digitally and at just $15. Now, however, they’re gone entirely. Searching for nintendogs + cats brings up zero results. All of the Nintendo Selects had their prices updated on the eShop this past Friday and Nintendo Land even made a return, but it seems that nintendogs + cats is gone. It’s likely related to the fact that Golden Retriever & New Friends’ old price ($15) was lower than it would have been under the Nintendo Selects line ($20).

Will nintendogs + cats ever return? That’s a good question. If the different versions ever come back, they probably won’t be at $15 again.
