Platinum Games has updated its Wonderful 101 blog with yet another post. You can find it here. Today’s update covers the leveling system.

Nicalis originally announced Yatagarasu for the 3DS eShop. There was radio silence since the reveal last August, but the company finally gave an update today. Unfortunately, Nintendo fans won’t be pleased with the news.

Yatagarasu is no longer in development for 3DS. Nicalis explained today that the project was switched to the PlayStation Vita “due to the incredibly overwhelming response from the fighting gaming community.”

It’s been a few months since Nordic Games acquired some of THQ’s key franchises, including Darksiders. Where do things stand at the moment?

Nordic’s Reinhard Pollice told Joystiq:

“It takes longer than expected getting everything together because THQ, there are not a lot of people there. There are just like five people and they’re mostly financial and administration guys. So the stuff that we need is really hard to get. I’ve been visiting them a lot of times, trying to make sure we get everything that we actually want, or that we should get.”

Darksiders was among the more interesting franchises picked up by Nordic. However, a new entry is still a very long ways off. Nordic is currently in contact with a few staffers from the now-defunct Vigil Games, though because a “certain core” of employees moved on to Crytek US, they probably won’t be working on any future Darksiders projects.

Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends were the first two games to make use of the UbiArt engine. And just a few days ago, Ubisoft confirmed that its new project Child of Light will be built on the same technology.

Interestingly, Child of Light isn’t the only upcoming title to feature the UbiArt engine. More are on the way, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot confirmed to Game Informer, though he wouldn’t divulge any specifics. You can at least rest easy knowing that “many” UbiArt games are on the way.

Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams may not support proper off-TV play on Wii U.

The game, which just launched in Europe today, does allow players to go through the experience on the GamePad. It seems as though audio is missing, however. Visuals appear on the GamePad screen, but sound does not emit from the controller.

Another odd tidbit about Giana Sisters – on the Xbox 360, it’s a 1.6GB download. On Wii U though, Twisted Dreams takes up 4GB of storage.
