Dark Day Interactive is working on “Once Bitten, Twice Dead” for Wii U, the studio announced today. The horror survival game is currently on Steam Greenlight, and will be coming to Nintendo’s console at some point in the future.

Once Bitten, Twice Dead takes place in an open-world environment where players are faced with “a virus pandemic that’s mutated living things into undead munchers.” Here’s the official overview:

Humanity have holed themselves up in camps after the ‘falling’ – a catastrophic event that spawned the munchers, survivors only venture out for precious building materials, guns and ammo, and, of course, food and water. Do you have what it takes to lead a team to survive? Or are you a lone wolf, looking after number 1?

Players will harvest, craft, cook, and survive in Once Bitten, Twice Dead. The game also features various vehicles to drive in and random boss encounters. In terms of modes, it’s possible to form a multiplayer team, compete in arenas and death match modes, and participate in Outbreak mode in which you take on the role of the infected.

You can find a trailer for Once Bitten, Twice Dead below.

Today’s Xenoblade Chronicles X Twitter update was brief, and not overly interesting. However, director Koh Kojima did share a neat nugget regarding tomorrow’s Battle Presentation.

Kojima wrote:

Looking forward to tomorrow’s Battle Presentation! We’re actually animating Elma, Lyn, and Tatsu – who will be the presenters – specially and specifically for the video. We thought about this a lot, without meaning to; changing their positions around and so on.

Tomorrow’s Xenoblade Chronicles X presentation will take place at 8 AM ET / 5 AM PT. We’ll post a stream on the site before it goes live.
