Norn9: Last Era release date

Today, Aksys Games provided a release date for the western version of Norn9: Last Era. The otome visual novel is now confirmed for August 24, 2023 in North America and Europe.

Aksys Games originally confirmed plans for localization last summer.

GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon physical

Limited Run Games announced today that it’s teaming up with Konami on a physical release of GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon on Switch.

Fans can choose between a standard edition and Classic Edition. The latter includes a physical copy of the game, Digital Deluxe contents with a digital art book, original mini soundtrack, and Family Computer version of Getsu Fuma Den, plus a classic Konami silver box with metallic ink, original soundtrack, art book, and art cards.

Little Nightmares sales milestone

Sales of the Little Nightmares franchise crossed the milestone of 12 million units sold, Bandai Namco announced today. This comes with the series celebrating its sixth anniversary.

Arnaud Muller, CEO of Bandai Namco Europe, said of the news: “The Little Nightmares franchise has seen some great growth and success since the first episode, which was released six years ago today. We are proud of the work accomplished by the teams at Bandai Namco Europe S.A.S. along with Tarsier Studios, Engine Software and Supermassive Games to make great games while at the same time expanding the franchise to more media.”

Zelda Tears Kingdom recipe cooking cards

Nintendo has been sharing more tidbits about The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on its Japanese Twitter account for the series, and it includes confirmation that the game will save cooking recipes with cards.

The brief note was sent out about what’s currently known in Japanese as “Cooking Notes”. With these, players can look back at the dishes they’ve made. Players can easily make their favorite dishes again by checking the recipe.

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection sales

Capcom has announced a sales milestone for Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, with it already selling over one million copies. That applies to all platforms worldwide.

Capcom didn’t provide a breakdown of Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection’s performance by region. However, we do know that as of April 23, total sales of physical copies on Switch in Japan stand at 58,717 units. Other regions and digital sales were undoubtedly big factors.

The Legend of Bum-bo physical

Nicalis announced today that it’s working on a physical version of The Legend of Bum-bo for Switch. It will be available in Q3 2023.

Each copy includes a physical copy of the game with a reversible cover sheet insert and a helpful instruction manual. A “Borf Box” edition is also planned with an exclusive Travel Play Set of Bum-bo “stickies,” all contained in a corrugated cardboard outer sleeve that reflects the handmade look of the in-game graphics. The Play Set includes colorful die-cut vinyl characters and items that cling to either side of the included reversible background card; they can be removed and repositioned to create endless variations of scenes from the game or from the player’s imagination.

The Competition and Markets Authority shot down Microsoft’s proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard in the UK yesterday, and in its lengthy report, it also commented again about the potential for Call of Duty on Switch.

Nintendo and Xbox currently have a ten-year agreement to have the franchise on the Big N’s platforms – assuming the deal eventually goes through. However, once again, the CMA is casting doubt on what will be possible in the end.

Taito Milestones 2

Original (4/13): Taito Milestones 2 is in development for Switch, Taito just announced. A release is planned for this August in Japan.

Taito Milestones 2 is confirmed to include Ben Bero Beh, Dino Rex, Gun Frontier, KiKi KaiKai, Liquid Kids, Metal Black, The Legend of Kage, and The NewZealand Story. However, this isn’t the full lineup. Additional titles will be made known in the future.
