Nintendo of Canada tweeted a new Switch commercial featuring a Whistler Blackcomb tie-in. Check out the video below:

Target is gearing up for a couple of interesting sales this weekend. Both have ties to Nintendo platforms.

First, all video games are included in a buy one, get one 50% off sale – sort of. Switch is excluded here, as is Wii U strangely enough. 3DS titles are valid, but not Detective Pikachu.

Amazon and GameStop have both been taking pre-orders for the Octopath Traveler Wayfarer’s Edition. Now it’s Best Buy’s turn. If you’d like to reserve the special edition, do so here.

Nintendo Germany published a new announcement today covering Switch’s first birthday and its plans for the Leipzig Book Fair. In the press release, an update on the system’s sales was provided.

Switch sales in Germany have broken a ten-year record sales record previously set by Wii. The new console has sold more than 650,000 units in the country in its first year, outperforming Wii. Over 14 million Switch units have been sold as of December 2017.

The first physical release from Super Rare Games was Human: Fall Flat. Today, the company pulled back the curtain on its next physical edition. This one also happens to be from Curve Digital.

The Flame in the Flood is getting the physical treatment. Similar to Human: Fall Flat, only 5,000 copies will be produced worldwide.

Song of Memories will be receiving a special edition. Sold exclusively on the Rice Digital Store, fans will be able to obtain the “Encore Edition”.

It includes the following:

  • A copy of the game
  • Collector’s box
  • Cloth screen cleaners with premium Song of Memories character artwork
  • Four-disc soundtrack CD collection
  • Penguin mobile phone charm
  • Art book (which will be translated into English)

This week’s issue of Famitsu reveals that the love visual novel Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai: Library Party is heading to Switch in Japan. ARIA will publish the title on July 26 for 6,800 yen.

Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai: Library Party contains the content of the main story, the Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai: Houkago Shippo Days spin-off, and the Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai: Dreaming Sheep fan disc along with an original heroine named Ichinoe Kingyo.

The V-Rally first started over two decades ago before spawning two sequels. After a lengthy hiatus, the series is returning with a brand new entry on Switch.

Bigben Interactive and Kylotonn Racing Games have announced V-Rally 4. It will again feature off-road simulation gameplay with high-intensity races. The team intends to “remain faithful to the identity of the franchise, which earned the support of millions of fans, and to strike a perfect balance between sensation, presentation, and simulation, while offering the best graphics and gameplay the latest technology can support.”

Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles was previously leaked for Switch last month. Prideful Sloth made the news official today, confirming that the open world adventure game will be released on the system “soon”.

Yonder will have a new photo mode on Switch that allows players to share images of the world with friends. English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Russian, and Brazilian Portuguese will be supported.
