Switch

Kylotonn, developer of the racing title WRC 7, is “looking into” developing for Switch. That’s according to director Alain Jarniou, who was asked about the possibility of supporting the console while speaking to RedBull.

Regarding Switch, Jarniou had this to say:

“Just like Nintendo used to do, with the Switch they’ve provided us with a new way of playing, and it’s very interesting. We are looking into this new platform to see how it can fit for our games in general. Everything is possible and WRC 7 might come out on the Switch if we find good matches with the game experience.

Technically, the device is quite different to other platforms. It’s exciting to see what’s behind it and what kind of possibilities it provides. We are expecting good surprises! In terms of usage, it’s also something quite new; gameplay will surely need some adaptation, but that is a good opportunity to rethink the driving experience.

Driving a rally car while on the bus can be fun, for sure!”

Since the launch of Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition last week, some users have been reporting an odd issue. Without any input from the user, the problem involves screenshots being taken automatically and randomly. While not confirmed at the time, the situation appeared to be tied to Minecraft.

4J Studios posted an update on Twitter today confirming that Minecraft is indeed the cause, and Nintendo now knows what’s causing it. A bug fix will be addressed soon to not only address problems with screenshots, but false Home button presses as well.

Spelunky has reached a number of platforms since its initial debut many years ago. Fans are now showing interest in a Switch port, which creator Derek Yu acknowledged on Twitter.

Yu isn’t ready to move forward with a Switch version of Spelunky just yet. However, he did say that definitely wants to have a game on the platform.

Switch will be back at Toys “R” Us stores across the United States very soon. On Friday, the system should be available once again as part of a “limited” restock.

Customers are advised to show up before doors open. Most locations tend to start business at 10 AM local time, though you may want to verify that with your local outlet.

Super Bomberman R is receiving a small patch tomorrow. Version 1.3.1 is on the way, which Konami is labeling as a “small maintenance patch”.

Tomorrow’s update is unrelated to version 1.4. That one will presumably be the one that adds new characters and more.

You can access it by checking out the “Coming Soon” section and visiting Disgaea 5 Complete’s page. An option should appear on the right sidebar to download the demo. It clocks in at 999MB.
