Minecraft Dungeons update 1.11.1.0

Mojang Studios has issued a new 1.11.1.0 update for Minecraft Dungeons. The main highlight is adding support for the Spookier Fall 2021 event, but also includes changes and fixes.

Below are the full patch notes for the Minecraft Dungeons 1.11.1.0 update:

Cotton Guardian Force Saturn Tribute physical

Strictly Limited Games will offer physical versions of Cotton Guardian Force Saturn Tribute in the west, it’s been revealed.

The game will be available in two forms. First up is a limited edition, which only comes with the game and a manual. There’s also a fancier collector’s edition containing the following:

Metroid Dread credits

Some of the staff at MercurySteam are speaking out about the company’s handling of credits, and specifically how it relates to Metroid Dread.

According to Spanish site Vandal (via Neat), the studio has confirmed a policy in which developers who worked for less than 25% of the game’s total development time are not included in the credits. The company is said to make exceptions for “exceptional contributions”, though the specifics surrounding this are unclear. MecurySteam employees say that Metroid Dread was in the works for four years, meaning staff would need to have been involved for at least twelve months to be credited.

The latest Japanese hardware sales from Famitsu are as follows:

Joe & Mac Caveman Ninja

Microids today announced that it’s working on a remake of Joe & Mac: Caveman Ninja, a Data East classic from 1991. The updated version, made by Mr. Nutz Studio, will launch in 2022.

Joe & Mac: Caveman Ninja is an arcade platformer that can be played alone or cooperatively. The game “will invite players to go back to the Prehistoric Age and embody Prehistoric Men, ready to do anything to save the women of their tribe.” Microids says that the upcoming version will include new additions like an original adventure mode containing brand new levels.

Ahead of the upcoming Famitsu report on physical video game and game console sales in Japan, analyst David Gibson has reported a few sales milestones for the Nintendo Switch and its library. Here’s a breakdown of the latest data:

Atlus has unveiled the latest daily demon video for Shin Megami Tensei V, this one offering a closer look at the demon Kaiwan. Check out the video and some more details below the break.

shin megami tensei v Mot

We have a new look at Mot in Shin Megami Tensei V as part of Atlus’ latest demon trailer for the game. It has appeared in the franchise’s various titles, including Persona and Devil Survivor.

The Megami Tensei Wiki offers up the following background details on Mot:

beyond a steel sky art

Publisher Microids and developer Studio Revolution have come out with a first developer diary for Beyond a Steel Sky that focuses on the game’s art.

In the video, art directors Dave Gibbons and Sucha Singh detail the artistic intent and process. The team set to incorporate a comic book look, and to achieve this, Revolution wrote a custom cel-shading tool known as ToonToy. This emulates Gibbons’ hand-drawn comic book style in real time. Along with achieving an aesthetic objective, the look helps focus the eye on key, important background objects that are important for gameplay.

nintendo franchises not on switch

In a new video today, we’re going over 5 Nintendo franchises still missing on Switch.

Nintendo’s catalog is probably one of the most valuable ones in the entire gaming industry given the company’s variety of franchises from different genres. In fact, the Big N has so much on its hands that it is hard for the company to maintain all of their IPs active. Fans are always asking for new games and it’s almost impossible to please everyone.

Right now on Switch, there’s a great effort from Nintendo to offer representation for many franchises. With over four years on the market, the console has an already very impressive library with some of the biggest names of the company. However, some names are still missing, and that’s what I want to talk about in this new video. Give it a look below – and stay tuned for the bonus at the end.
