Dragon Ball: The Breakers producer Ryosuke Hara has shared more information about the game, including what to expect from the story and single-player. This comes as part of a recently-published interview from Bandai Namco.

Direct sequels to mainline Final Fantasy games isn’t something that we see very often. But with Final Fantasy X, that’s a path Square Enix decided to pursue. The RPG ended up seeing a sequel with Final Fantasy X-2 that brought back familiar faces from the original.
Producer Yoshinori Kitase spoke about Final Fantasy X-2 in a recent blog post, and revealed some interesting information about its name. It turns out that deciding on a title for the project was “one of the biggest challenges” the team encountered. Kitase actually revealed that with X-2, Square Enix “was initially worried that it would be mistaken for Final Fantasy XII and turned it down.” But “they’ve grown fond of it” since that point.
All Aksys 2022 presentation announced

Aksys Games will host a new All Aksys 2022 presentation on February 17, the publisher has announced. It will feature “updates on current games and new game announcements for the upcoming year”. Further information was not provided.

Japan’s top 10 best-selling games of 2021, hardware rankings

Famitsu published a report this week revealing the best-selling games of 2021 in Japan as well as hardware rankings. There’s good news for Monster Hunter Rise, along with Switch overall.
Switch cleared out the full top ten in terms of software. Monster Hunter Rise, which came out last month, topped the list with over two million physical copies sold.

Ikai launches in March

Publisher PM Studios and developer Endflame have shared a release date update for Ikai, their psychological horror game. It’s now confirmed for a March 29 launch.
Ikai was first confirmed for Switch last June. Originally, the plan was to have it ready to go in October. It’s currently unclear why the title had been delayed.

Those in the UK can receive a pair of physical pre-order bonuses for Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Copies will come with a notebook and magnet sheet items, Nintendo has confirmed. This is available while supplies last. Unfortunately, images of the bonuses have not been shared just yet.
