Original (12/11): SEGA has shared more information about Sonic Frontiers – including confirmation that writer Ian Flynn is on board.
At The Game Awards 2021 this week, SEGA finally shared a proper unveiling for the game. It had been teased earlier in the year with practically no information. But a new video finally gave fans a first look as to what they can expect from the project.

Monster Sanctuary “Counter Attack” update out now (version 1.3), patch notes

Publisher Team17 and developer Moi Gai Games have readied a significant 1.3 patch for Monster Sanctuary, otherwise known as the “Counter Attack” update. It includes the option for donating multiple eggs at once to the Monster Army, new skills, lots of balancing adjustments, and more.

River City Girls Zero delayed to early 2022

WayForward has provided a status update on River City Girls Zero, confirming that the beat ’em up game has been delayed to early 2022. The studio said that the move was made in order to ensure “the most accurate port and best experience possible”. Some new art was also released, which we have above.
River City Girls Zero was actually first made available on the Super Famicom back in 1994. However, it has never seen an official western release. WayForward has been responsible for the new port, which is in development for Switch.
My Nintendo Europe adds Metroid Dread pin set

Those in Europe can now get their hands on a new pin set for Metroid Dread. It features two stainless steel pins for Samus as well as the E.M.M.I. Additionally, they come shipped in a decorative box with a viewing window. Nintendo notes that the pins can be left in the box to decorate your room, or take them out and attach them wherever you’d like to.

US: Shin Megami Tensei V has highest launch month dollar sales of any Shin Megami Tensei title in history

While we don’t have specific sales figures, Shin Megami Tensei V appears to be off to a good start in the United States.
The NPD Group released its latest gaming sales report today, and it includes a note about Atlus’ Switch RPG. Interestingly enough, it saw the highest launch month dollar sales of any Shin Megami Tensei title in history.

Cat Quest II “Infinity Update” out now (version 1.7.7), patch notes

A notable patch has arrived in Cat Quest II, with publisher PQube and developer The GentleBros preparing the “Infinity Update“, or version 1.7.7. It’s highlighted by the addition of the Infinity Dungeon, featuring tough enemies and a new boss. Once defeated, players can receive the Dark Old Master Gear Set.
