The annual “State of the Game Industry” GDC report was published this week, and it provides the latest insight into developers and their approach to Switch.

Overall responses are comparable to 2020. For instance, 38 percent of developers polled said they’re interested in Switch – whereas that figure was 37 percent last year. 17 percent of respondents said their current project is planned for the console – which hasn’t changed at all.

Unto The End, a challenging combat adventure game, first made it to Switch as a digital download last December. It’s now receiving a physical release courtesy of Red Art Games. 2,800 units will be made for Switch in total.

NEO: The World Ends with You

The World Ends with You first debuted on DS way back in 2007 (2008 in the west). Since then, Square Enix hasn’t done much with the IP. We’ve seen ports and things like character cameos in Kingdom Hearts, but there hasn’t been a new game – until now.

NEO: The World Ends with You, the next entry in the series, will finally release this summer. Producer Tomohiko Hirano spoke about the long wait for a new entry, telling IGN:

Muv-Luv: Project Mikhail

aNCHOR today debuted a new gameplay video for Project Mikhail, its upcoming Muv-Luv mech action game. We’ve attached it below.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is launching in just over two months, and Capcom is ramping up its promotional efforts for the game. It was featured in this week’s Monster Hunter Digital Event, including a new trailer.

Hellpoint has been patched on Switch, bringing the game to version 1.0.2.0. The update contains a flew of technical improvements.

New Pokemon Snap

If there’s one question that’s been swirling around New Pokemon Snap since the initial reveal, it’s how long the game takes to beat. After all, the N64 original was known for being a bit on the short side. The first Pokemon Snap only took a few short hours to wrap up.

So how about New Pokemon Snap on Switch? There are a few early reports from outlets as well as players, and it looks like it’s a 10 to 15 hour journey on average, though of course that number with vary from person to person.

R-Type Final 2

Original (4/28): Last week, Fujifilm announced a new device that will allow Switch owners to easily print screenshots. It’s just a couple of days away as it’s expected to release on April 30.
