Koei Temco and Gust Corporation have set a release date for Atelier Lulua. In Japan, the game will be launching on March 20.

In less than a week, the next big update for Kirby Star Allies will be going live. Nintendo and HAL Laboratory are adding in a new wave of Dream Friends and more.

In a news post this week, level design director Yuki Endo spoke about the upcoming Dream Friends in greater detail. Here’s what he shared:

This week, Ubisoft issued one of the first patches for Starlink: Battle for Atlas at nearly 2GB. Labeled as a “technical update,” it adds colorblind support, quality of life improvements, and bug fixes.

Nintendo has announced that the next Splatoon 2 update is arriving next month. Version 4.3.0 will be out on December 5 in Japan, which probably means during the evening of December 4 in North America.

The patch will include gear abilities and new weapons. Nintendo is also teasing the release of Toni Kensa Collection Part 4.

Kill la Kill the Game: IF is coming to Switch, Arc System Works has revealed. The news was just shared today at ArcRevo Japan 2018.

APlus Games is developing Kill la Kill the Game: IF, which features fighting gameplay based on the popular anime. The title is planned for a 2019 release.

Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee and Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu launched last week around the world, including in Japan. In just three days, it sold over 650,000 copies in the country. Sales trackers have since provided additional information on how the games sold.

You may recall that over in the UK, the Pikachu version was significantly more popular than Eevee. But in Japan, the split was pretty close. Dengeki has Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu at 332,193 copies sold and Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee at 270,929 units.

According to Media Create, the Pikachu version sold through 62.96% of its initial shipment. Eevee was slightly lower at 51.80%.

The Legend of Zelda series has experimented with many different visual styles over the years. Nintendo aimed for realism with Twilight Princess, but before that, Wind Waker offered a completely opposite feel with its cel-shaded look.

As part of an interview published in the newly-translated Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Creating a Champion book, art director Satoru Takizawa commented on the series’ ever-changing visual style. Takizawa had this to say on the topic:

Three more characters are joining Mario Tennis Aces. Luma, Pauline, and Boom Boom will be added to the game in early 2019, the company revealed today.

Based on how they’re presented in a new trailer, Luma will seemingly be first up in January. Boom Boom will then follow in February, and finally Pauline in March.
