An important piece of Splatoon 2 news was burried in Glixel’s new interview with producer Hisashi Nogami and programming director Shintaro Sato. At one point, Sato spoke about a new mode in the game known as “League Battle”.

Here’s what Sato shared:

“There’s also a new mode in Splatoon 2 called League Battle. This will be a mode that players can play either in groups of two or four, and it will present you with a two-hour period in which your group competes with other groups to see how many points you can earn. Because the results of that League Battle play will be displayed in a ranking at the end of every two-hour period, we can give players goals to strive for, and hope to encourage them to keep competing and pushing.”

Ratalakia Games has been very busy porting various games to Switch. At Gamelab 2017, The Count Lucanor is being shown off for the first time.

The Count Lucanor is an adventure game originally released last year. We’ve included a trailer and lengthy overview of the game below.

About
Join Hans in a fantasy world and experience a unique adventure, full of surprises and challenges. Get hooked on an immersive tale, where every decision counts and every clue is a piece to solve the puzzle and get the treasure. Unravel the sordid secrets of the castle, meet colorful characters, and remember: horror always lurks beneath the surface.

With a retro, halfway-between-8-and-16-bit style and inspired by classic games like The Legend of Zelda, Yume Nikki, Silent Hill or Dark Souls, among others, The Count Lucanor is an amazing mystery and horror adventure set in a fairytale world. The game features important choices, alternative endings, secrets and different ways to solve puzzles. The title is in development for PC, Mac and Linux.

The next blog post from Nintendo counting down to the release of DLC Pack 1 for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is now live. This one talks about the character Tingle since his entire outfit is equipment included in DLC Pack 1. The post also talks about the love-hate relationship for the character and his games that were released in Europe and Japan.

Sav’aaq! I’m Shirakawa, game designer for The Legend of Zelda™: Breath of the Wild. In this title, I worked mainly on NPC and field-event designs.

Today, I would like to talk about Tingle’s Outfit, which you can acquire by finding one of the chests offered in the DLC pack 1, The Master Trials. (This DLC is available only through the purchase of the Expansion Pass. Full version of the game is required to use this DLC.)

The Grand Hero Battle featuring Clarisse is now live in Fire Emblem Heroes. As always, you can obtain a 3 star version and a 4 star version of her if you can beat the map on Hard or Lunatic.

Like the Legion Grand Hero Battle, Clarisse does have a third map on the difficulty called “Infernal.” Beating the map on the Infernal difficulty will give you an additional 4 star version of that character and some Hero Feathers. The Clarisse Grand Hero Battle will be available until July 5th.

Nintendo provided an update on Kirby’s Blowout Blast today. We now know that the game is due out next week in North America and Japan (likely Europe as well). The new Japanese trailer and website offer the latest details.

Kirby’s Blowout Blast uses bigger scrolling stages compared to 3D Rumble in Kirby: Planet Robobot. The requirement to clear the stage is reaching the goal. There are no copy abilities, so Kirby inhales enemies and blocks and sends them back out as Blaster Bullets.

A little while back, we reported on the new Switch eShop game I and Me. Rainy Frog is now partnering with Ratalakia Games once again to publish the title in Japan. It’ll be out on July 6 for 1,000 yen.

Here’s a trailer:
