Yesterday we saw Shigeru Miyamoto guessing the size of various objects. If that wasn’t random enough for you, we have a video of Miyamoto playing Super Mario Run while eating cake. You can see that below.
TIME has gone up with its own interview about Super Mario Run. Unsurprisingly, it was Shigeru Miyamoto answering the questions.
Miyamoto actually talked about quite a bit here. He spoke about how Nintendo decided on which gameplay elements to include, the different playable characters, the idea behind Kingdom Builder, and why it’s the right time for Mario to appear on mobile.
You can read up on a number of Miyamoto’s important responses below. Visit TIME here for the full discussion.
My Nintendo began to display the amount of points that are expiring on your account back in September. With the recent website refresh, it has now been extended further.
In the past, you’d only be able to see how many points were expiring over the next three months. This has now been doubled. Along with the current month, users can see the amount of points that will be leaving their accounts five months beyond.
Visit this page for a look any points that may be expiring as we head into the new year.

We haven’t heard much about Mario Sports Superstars since its announcement during the September Nintendo Direct. However, a few details were included in this month’s Game Informer, and now we know even more about the game. Nintendo put up a fact sheet on its website which goes a bit more in-depth.
The first thing mentioned is that you’ll be able to “hone skills in training”. In other words, a training mode should be included. The same paragraph also mentions that you can “pick Mario, Waluigi, or one of sixteen others”, meaning there should be 18 playable characters.
Moving onto the sports themselves, we have actual information as to how the horse racing will play out. You’ll build a stable of horses, then train them before moving on to actual races. In-field shifts will be a part of baseball while soccer will let you change your team’s formation.
Continue on below for the full fact sheet.
Several new games out came out this week on the Wii U and 3DS eShops. If you’re interested in checking out what’s new in screenshot form, take a look at the gallery below.
