An instruction booklet found on the official LEGO site provides a first look at a few packs planned for LEGO Dimensions.
The Simpsons, Portal 2, and Doctor Who will be available as Level Packs. Jurassic World and Scooby Doo are coming as Team Packs.
Warner Bros. still has yet to officially announce most of these products. When LEGO Dimensions was revealed, the company said that packs would ship to stores throughout 2015 and 2016.
The Fine Brothers’ latest “React” video has teenagers taking on the classic NES game Duck Hunt. View the video below.
We’re hearing an interesting rumor about Paper Mario potentially coming to Wii U via Japanese forum 2ch.
Just recently, Intelligent Systems attended a job expo in Japan. A few folks who showed up for the event relayed this information on 2ch, along with speculation about a new Paper Mario. Representatives from the company were apparently stating that this is something that’s happening.
If nothing else, it does look like Intelligent Systems attended that job expo. The studio was handing out pamphlets/paperwork (posted on 2ch), which does suggest that part of the rumor is true.
Thanks to Kev for the tip.

Splatoon makes use of Miiverse in some interesting ways. For one thing, your character can appear in other players’ Plazas. Those who tried out Splatoon Global Testfire this weekend also noticed that Splatoon-related Miiverse art was showing up on billboards (and apparently some walls as well). It’s something that was hinted at before, but we now have a complete confirmation of the functionality.
If you’re not interested in seeing other players’ art/posts, it seems as though there will be an option to disable this. You’ll be able to either enable or disable “Miiverse Tags”, which show up as in-game graffiti.
Thanks to Austin for the tip.
Update: This is slightly related (using IP outside of games), so I’ll leave this here. Iwata also mentioned that when meeting with Universal, he was “surprised” by the company’s “extremely detailed” plans for Nintendo attractions at Universal Studios. Once the meeting finished and he returned to Japan, Iwata immediately talked things over with Miyamoto. Eventually, Universal’s attraction engineers met with “veteran Nintendo producers” multiple times on how to go about making Nintendo-themed attractions.
Nintendo has been heading into some interesting directions over the past few months. The company started to dabble with ventures that aren’t gaming-specific like figures, mobile games, and even theme park attractions thanks to a partnership with Universal. Things may not stop there.
While speaking at the Q&A portion of Nintendo’s latest financial results briefing, CEO Satoru Iwata hinted at the company potentially expanding to “films and video content”. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem as though Iwata elaborated much on this.
