The Elder Scrolls: Blades delayed to early 2020 on Switch
Posted on 5 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch eShop | 0 comments
The Elder Scrolls: Blades was originally planned to arrive on Switch this fall. The season is just about over though, as is 2019. It makes sense then that Bethesda has pushed back the release to early 2020.
In a blog post, Bethesda mentioned that the delay has come about “amidst all the other changes we’re making to Blades”. The extra time will allow the team to “deliver the polished gameplay our fans deserve”.

The Pokemon Company trying to track down identities of original Sword/Shield leakers
Posted on 5 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 0 comments
Much like previous Pokemon generations, Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield were affected by leaks. All of the new creatures – as well as other information – were made public online prior to the launch date earlier this month. The Pokemon Company naturally wasn’t happy about this, and has filed a tentative lawsuit as it looks to track down the original leakers.
Perkins Coie, a firm now involved with the case, said in the suit that the leaks had caused “irreparable injury” to The Pokemon Company. As a result, it “is entitled to damages in an amount to be proven at trial.”
Four Discord users have been identified as leakers so far. The Pokemon Company is now interested in serving subpoenas to Discord and 4Chan to help determine who these people actually are, and is awaiting the court’s decision.

[Nintendo Everything Podcast] – episode #55 – Game Awards predictions and reactions, Animal Crossing subscription
Posted on 5 years ago by Oni Dino(@Oni_Dino) in General Nintendo, Podcast | 0 comments
Hello my happy helpers and fortune cookies! This week on NEP, Oni Dino and Galen are talking The Game Awards, the industry and mobile monetization schemes. We chat about the nominees, snubs, predictions for Nintendo and past instances—new Smash DLC fighter? Metroid? Bayonetta? Who knows! Let’s keep it logical, though.
Then we tackle Animal Crossing Pocket Camp getting a subscription service with a very opinionated argument over if free-to-play games like these should even be considered games. We finish things off with some Pokemon talk on the new designs, and the Gizmodo situation in our listener mail segment.
If you’re enjoying NEP, please consider giving us a 5 star review on Apple Podcasts, aka new iTunes. It’s incredibly helpful in getting us exposed to new listeners through algorithms, so we would greatly appreciate your help. Thank you for listening!

Darksiders Genesis dev says Strife first-person shooter would be “a no brainer”

While speaking with Nintendo Everything, Darksiders Genesis developers Joe Madureira and Ryan Stefanelli have brought up another possible idea for the franchise: a first-person shooter. In fact, Madureira said that a new title in that genre featuring Strife would be “a no-brainer.”
Thus far, three main Darksiders games have been released that feature different characters from the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse: War, Death, and Fury. Only Strife hasn’t been given his own starring role, though he’ll be properly introduced for the first time in Darksiders Genesis.
