Niantic has shared the latest news about Pokemon GO. Confirmation has come in that new Pokemon are on the way – 50 in total – and a dynamic weather system is being implemented.

Niantic says that Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, and other Pokemon from Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire will begin appearing later this week. More will be appearing “over the next several weeks”.

Headup Games and ClockStone Software have announced Bridge Constructor Portal. The title merges the Bridge Constructor series with the popular Portal license from Valve.

Headup says that “Bridge Constructor Portal will blend the laws of structural engineering and technology straight from Aperture Laboratories into an exciting new game experience, all under the demanding gaze of GLaDOS.”

Bridge Constructor Portal will be released on Switch in early 2018. Check out the first trailer and screenshots below.

Plenty of attention has been given to the new release of the NVIDIA Shield in China, and understandably so. One big aspect is that a few Wii games are playable on the device, with more to come (and GameCube games to boot).

We heard yesterday that these titles are streamed, and aren’t actually ports. However, it appears that the initial information was a mistake. An NVIDIA rep has stepped forward, saying that this “has been talked about internally.” The Nintendo titles “are running natively, are remastered, and look great.”

The Wii games available on the NVIDIA Shield in China run at a 1080p resolution. New Super Mario Bros. Wii, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Punch-Out!!, and Super Mario Galaxy have started the Nintendo partnership.

More:

Pokemon GO’s roster of Pokemon is likely expanding very soon. An ad for a new round of Gen 3 Pokemon has been spotted, signaling that Niantic will have more to add in the near future.

The ad, pictured above, comes from the Apple Watch App Store. While the text is the same as the Halloween event, the Pokemon are not. Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip from Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire should be on the way soon, along with other potential Pokemon.

The Next Penelope has had a long journey to Nintendo consoles. For a long while, we thought that the racer would end up on Wii U. That didn’t happen, but a Switch release was recently assured.

The Next Penelope now has a release date on Nintendo’s console. You’ll be able to find the game on the eShop starting December 21.

Here’s a trailer promoting the upcoming launch:
