Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice is available on the 3DS eShop today. If you buy the game during the first week, you can receive a free character costume pack featuring Furio Tigre for Phoenix, a school uniform for Apollo, and a Trés Bien waitress costume for Athena. After September 14, the DLC will cost $0.99 / £0.89 / €0.99.

Capcom will release new Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice throughout the rest of September each Thursday. Two short stories are on the way, each of which has a unique pixel art 3DS theme. A full-length extra episode titled “Turnabout Time Traveler” is also on the way.

Here’s the schedule:

9/15 – “Phoenix Wright: Asinine Attorney” short story and 3DS theme ($3.99 / £3.59 / €3.99)
9/22 – “Apollo Justice: Asinine Attorney” short story and 3DS theme ( $3.99 / £3.59 / €3.99)
9/29 – “Turnabout Time Traveler” full-length extra episode ($5.99 / £5.39 / €5.99)

Nintendo made a big announcement yesterday by revealing that its biggest IP will grace mobile platforms. In December, Super Mario Run will be out on iOS.

While Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto acknowledges that having Mario on new platforms can keep him relevant, virtual reality is another story. He feels that the reclusive nature of the technology isn’t a good fit just yet. nintendo also wants people to play “for a long time”.

Miyamoto told USA Today in a new interview:

“I would agree that adapting Mario to new platforms is a key to keeping him relevant. But we want families to play together, and virtual reality (which requires players to be closed off from the real world) doesn’t really fit well there. We also like people playing for a long time, and it’s hard to do that in VR.”

Digger Dan DX was pulled from the 3DS eShop back in July. First Star Software, who owns the Boulder Dash rights, asked Nintendo to remove Four Horses’ game. The two companies were thankfully able to settle all issues, and Digger Dan DX will now be returning to the eShop today.

Those who already own Digger Dan DX will find new content awaiting them. 25 new caves with gems and traps are included, and can be accessed for free.

Four Horses is also holding the following competition:

“To celebrate the re-launch, Four Horses have decided to hold a competition for the first player to get 125 gold stars in the game. The prize is a cheque for £250 (or similar value in your local currency) and the competition is open worldwide to anyone who has bought the game. Existing players do have a head start, but the new Bonus levels are tough enough to give new players a chance to catch up. The first Urban Trial Freestyle was released on various platforms, including 3DS. It sounds like the game did quite well on the eShop as a sequel has now been announced. We don’t have too many details just yet, but Urban Trial Freestyle 2 will be at TGS 2016 next week.
