A little while back, Wirtschaftsforum interviewed Dr. Bernd Fakesch. Fakesch is the general manager of Nintendo D-A-CH (Germany – Austria – Switzerland). During the interview, Fakesch commented on Nintendo in general terms. He was asked about the company’s magic (and how it applies to Switch), Nintendo’s approach to being creative, and the future of consoles.

We’ve prepared a full translation of Wirtschaftsforum’s interview. If you’re interested in the topics that were discussed, continue no below.

Nintendo released the latest major update for ARMS this past week. Version 4.0.0 added in support for the brand new fighter Misango.

Soon after that update premiered, Nintendo sent out another patch. The latest update for ARMS is now version 4.0.1.

As for what it does, that’s somewhat of a mystery at the moment. Nintendo hasn’t posted any patch notes anywhere – be it its Japanese website or North American support page. We can at least guess that it implements some fixes from 4.0.0. If we do get an official notice from Nintendo about the update, we’ll let you know.

This past week, ARMS received the brand new fighter Misango. The Nintendo Treehouse Log covered the character in-depth as part of a post published a few days ago.

A number of new releases came to Switch this past week, including the racer MXGP3. Take a look at some footage below.

System: Switch
Release date: November 17, 2017
Developer: Two Tribes
Publisher: Two Tribes

In RIVE, you control a spider-mech that is piloted by a loud mouthed, raunchy captain as he tries to escape a space warehouse that constantly pours threat after threat his way. As far as story- that’s as much as you’re going to get, aside from awkward one-liners and poor pop culture references. The story never grows into much more than that, but that’s completely fine. A game like RIVE doesn’t need a huge encompassing tale to keep you invested, just the quick paced action of the 7ish hour campaign will keep you invested enough.

On its social media channels yesterday, Image & Form posted a mysterious video that might be hinting at upcoming announcements.

Towards the end of the video, the date December 10, 2015 is highlighted. Right after that, we see a Joy-Con flying off-screen. SteamWorld Heist happened to launch on December 10, 2015… so perhaps that game is coming to Switch?

During the latest Arc System Works live stream, a few characters from the crossover fighter BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle were shown. We have the relevant recording below.

You might be interested to know that the new Switch version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim wasn’t made entirely be Bethesda. Iron Galaxy was brought in to work on the project, the official Twitter account for Bethesda Game Studios reveals.

The tweet below was sent out yesterday:

Iron Galaxy does have quite a bit of porting experience under its belt, so this news isn’t entirely surprising. Fortunately, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim turned out very well on Switch.

DeNA, Nintendo’s mobile partner, held its own financial results briefing last week. Naturally, a Q&A session was a part of the proceedings. An official translation of the full event has now been posted online.

As for what was covered, DeNA was asked about the early response to Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, Super Mario Run’s downloads, and more. We’ve posted the relevant Nintendo excerpts below.

Unepic was confirmed to be releasing on Switch back in August. Now it seems that we have a release date.

Over on the eShop, Unepic can actually be pre-loaded right now. This is for both North America and Europe. Both stores list the game for December 15, so it appears that’s when it will be launching.

Unepic takes up 221MB on Switch, in case you’re wondering.
