This week’s issue of Famitsu contains a new Hey! Pikmin preview. The magazine covers the game’s story, amount of levels, and more.
To start off, Pikmin types and abilities are as follows:
– Red: Strong against fire and can move on fiery places
– Yellow: Strong against electricity and doesn’t get paralyzed; can also fly high when thrown
– Blue: Strong against water and useful in underwater explorations
– Winged: Can fly with its feathers; multiple winged Pikmin can allow Olimar to fly
– Rock: Can destroy hard objects
Nintendo is recommending that players use motion controls with ARMS, but the final game will include various options. One setup involves the thumbs-up grip.
For those who end up using this option, Nintendo disables the usage of the Home button when playing online. It won’t work while in matches, lobbies, and other online menus. By doing so, it ensures that you won’t accidentally quit a match.
Thanks to Jake for the tip.

Momodora V was on display for the first time at BitSummit 2017 this weekend. During the show’s official live stream, Nayan Ramachandran from publisher Dangen Entertainment stopped by to show off the game.
For now, Momodora V is only confirmed for PC. But it could end up on multiple platforms, including Switch.
Ramachandran said the following when asked if the game is being considered for consoles:
“What we want to do is obviously do as many platforms as possible. There’s nothing we can announce right now in terms of other platforms, but it’s definitely something we’re looking at. Honestly it would be silly for us not to. Right now we really work with PC, with PlayStation 4, and with Switch. Whether or not Momodora finds its way to all those platforms is yet to be seen, it just comes down to the hardware capabilities, our time, able to do it. As far as what we want to do, absolutely.”
Momodora is a series of platformers developed by Bombservice. Momodora V marks the first time that the franchise is experimenting with a 3D style. This new entry is a long ways off, as launch is about two years away.
After a lengthy wait, Darksiders Warmastered Edition finally launches on Wii U next week. We have some screenshots from the game below.
Update: Added in Sunday’s updates.
Nintendo Badge Arcade has been receiving daily updates since heading to the 3DS eShop. Because it’s continually updated with content, we’re rounding up all of the additions and changes in a weekly post.
Here’s what’s on tap for the week of May 15:
May 15
– 20 Pokemon panels
– 6 Super Mario Maker panels (1 day left)
– 4 Kirby panels (1 day left)
– Thank-you badges until May 18
Kotaro Uchikoshi is best known for the Zero Escape franchise. Across three different games, he acted as series director.
Uchikoshi could choose to support Nintendo’s newest platform in the future. When asked about Switch, he said the following:
“I think it’s a very interesting piece of hardware. If the opportunity presents itself, I’d love to put out something on the Switch.”
Uchikoshi is in the very early stages of a new game tenatively known as Project Psync. It remains to be seen if it will end up on a Nintendo platform.
There’s been a somewhat confusing situation surrounding Namco Museum. The collection of games, announced for Switch, was revealed during a Nintendo Direct in April. In the presentation, Nintendo clearly states that Namco Museum is a digital title. That’s why it didn’t make much sense when boxart for the game surfaced. We’ve been trying to reach out to Bandai Namco, and may finally have an answer.
We did attempt to contact Bandai Namco in North America, but unfortunately did not receive a response. However, Bandai Namco Europe made things pretty clear to us. We were explicitly told that Namco Museum is a digital release.
That doesn’t explain why Bandai Namco went out of its way to create a boxart image. Still, despite that, we have no reason to believe it will be placed on store shelves.
