Yesterday, Level-5 made several announcements. One of the major reveals was Lady Layton, which was quickly confirmed for the west.
The Snack World, Level-5’s next cross-media project, also appears to be heading overseas. Level-5’s western press release snuck in a mention that its subsidiary Level-5 abby will be handling “overseas expansion.” The rollout schedule has not yet been determined, however.
Level-5 did also mention Megaton Musashi and Inazuma Eleven Ares in its announcement. However, rollout plans for both outside of Japan are “yet to be determined.”

Two Tribes has prepared a new RIVE trailer highlighting the shooter’s characters. Mark Dodson of Star Wars and Gremlins fame is lending his voice to the title.
Here’s the video:
RIVE’s status on Wii U is currently up in the air. It should eventually reach Nintendo platforms though, be it Wii U or NX.
Region-exclusive Pokemon in Pokemon GO is something that we’ve touched on before. It’s been thought that Taurus only appears to be found in the wild in North America, and Mr. Mime is only in Europe. Let’s also not forget about Farfetch’d in Asia and Kangaskhan in Australia. But here’s the thing: it looks these Pokemon can be obtained through other means.
BBC News spoke with someone who caught 142 Pokemon available in the wild in the UK, along with Taurus. Eurogamer also was in contact with California’s John Smith (Oninous Gaming on YouTube) who claims he was the first to catch all 145. With Smith, he said he needed to walk about 200km to collect everything, and hatch all the region-exclusive Pokemon from 10km eggs.

Playtonic is giving some of its fans a chance to try out Yooka-Laylee. Starting today, those who pledged £20 and above on Kickstarter will receive download codes for the Toybox. It’s a demo in one sense, but the game’s actual environments “will be far more vast and detailed”, and the final release will offer “far more moves, animations and general polish”.
The following trailer should introduce players to the Toybox:
With Yooka-Laylee’s Toybox, Playtonic wants to give loyal fans a taste of the core mechanics. Feedback will also be used to improve the end product.
