Nintendo has provided a new look at yet another track in Mario Kart 8. Below, you’ll find a couple of new images featuring Twisted Mansion.

We’ve seen Mario Kart 8’s North American pack front previously, but Amazon now has a better shot of it available. And yep – looks like the red box really is happening.

On another random note, Amazon has stopped taking pre-orders for Mario Kart 8. No clue why that is, but hopefully they’ll resume again shortly.

Japan’s prime minister feels that, believe it or not, the country can learn from Nintendo.

When asked about his growth strategy for Japan, Shinzo Abe said:

“Well, for example, there’s a company called Nintendo. Over there, they made hanafuda cards, but gradually the people playing hanafuda decreased. However, that company called Nintendo makes hanafuda cards and whatnot, and I believe that only by doing that, it wasn’t able to protect hanafuda.”

According to Abe, Nintendo used technical expertise to lead the way in developing home video game consoles.

“And at the same time, it is keeping the traditional hanafuda cards. For sure, I think this is something that we can learn from.”

The 2014 Tokyo Game Show will take place between September 18 and September 21, Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association reconfirmed today.

As usual, the first two days are reserved for business happenings while the latter two are open to the public. Also like previous years, the expo will be held at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba.

220,000 visitors and 1,600 booths are expected in total this year.

TGS 2014 will feature a general exhibition area, a smartpohone/social game area, a game device area, a cloud gaming area, a game school area, a merchandise sales area, an indie game area, a business solution area, an “asia new stars” area, a business meeting area, and a dedicated PC game area.

Following leaks from retailer ads, Nintendo has officially confirmed the green Yoshi Edition 3DS XL for North America. The system features an image of Yoshi on the front and several Yoshi eggs on the back.

Pricing for the Yoshi Edition 3DS XL is set at $199.99. It’ll be available on March 14.
