[Let’s Talk] Pac-Man 99 impressions
Posted on 4 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Let's Talk, Switch eShop | 0 comments
Another classic game has received the battle royale treatment. Pac-Man 99 was only just announced this week, but a day after it’s reveal, the title was released for Switch. Nintendo Switch Online members can try out the title at no extra cost.
Like Tetris 99 and Super Mario Bros. 35, Pac-Man 99 puts a twist on the classic arcade formula that we’ve come to love. Players are tasked with being the last one standing as they gather Power Pellets, eat ghosts, and send Jammer Pac-Mans to make things more difficult for their opponents. We have all of the relevant details here.
With Pac-Man 99 having been out there for a few days, what are your impressions thus far? How do you feel it stacks up to the other Switch Online offerings? Let us know in the comments below.

Immortals Fenyx Rising dev on IP’s future, hopes it can become a franchise
Posted on 4 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 0 comments
Ubisoft has a bunch of different franchises it tends to revisit, but it recently introduced a brand new IP in Immortals Feynx Rising. The game launched only a few months ago, but the team does have some high aspirations for its future.
Speaking with Nintendo Everything, Immortals Fenyx Rising associate director Julien Galloudec addressed the possibility of a sequel. Galloudec stated the following:
Furukawa says Nintendo wants to work on its main franchises as well as new IP, “constantly thinking about ideas for new consoles”
Posted on 4 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 0 comments
Speaking with Nikkei, Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa was asked about what’s next for Animal Crossing fans.
Furukawa spoke broadly about the company’s viewpoints, and noted that “games must be interesting” given other competition and consumers having only so much free time. Nintendo doesn’t simply want to rest on its laurels, so it wants to continue supporting its well-known franchises while also pursuing “new games and new series.”
Furukawa also brought up hardware and how Nintendo is “constantly thinking about ideas for new consoles”. Although many ideas are difficult to realize, the company invests in resources “in case any of these ideas become feasible in future.”
Our full translation of Furukawa’s comments can be found below.

Site health status update

Update: Contact form is working again, but we still cannot receive any messages sent directly to NintendoEverything.com at this time. Please use the contact form to get in touch with us for the time being.
If you’ve been wondering where we’ve been for the past day and a half: no, we didn’t take a break! The site unfortunately experienced a massive issue, but I’m happy to say that we’re back.
I don’t want to delve too far into the details since I barely understand the situation myself. The main takeaway is that our entire host went down and has yet to recover – additional websites other than just Nintendo Everything were affected. Eventually, we regrouped and moved the entire site elsewhere, and thankfully our constant backups came in handy. Due to the size of NE (we’re talking about 13 years of content here), having an extremely small team working on the situation (myself and one other person), and some other factors, it took a bit longer than we would have liked to get everything back online. It was especially frustrating since things were out of our hands initially – if the issue was specific to NE, we could have addressed things ourselves and gotten back online sooner.

Following its announcement in the February 2021 Nintendo Direct, Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection received new coverage in a recent issue of Famitsu. The Japanese magazine was able to speak with Team Ninja’s Fumihiko Yasuda to learn more about the trilogy re-release. There was discussion about the collection itself as well as other topics, including how the first Ninja Gaiden took inspiration from Zelda: Ocarina of Time (not to mention scrapped plans for a fishing system), the possibility of Ryu in Smash Bros., and more.
We’ve gone ahead and prepared a complete translation of the interview. Continue on below to read it in full.

Team Ninja on possibility of new Ninja Gaiden game
Posted on 4 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 0 comments
The Ninja Gaiden series has been relatively dormant for almost a decade. After Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge launched in 2012, Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja haven’t done much with the franchise.
Fortunately for fans, the IP is now making a bit of a comeback. Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection is set to appear on new platforms, containing three main games: Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge.
[Review] Balan Wonderworld

System: Switch
Release date: March 26, 2021
Developer: Arzest / Balan Company
Publisher: Square Enix
When Square Enix revealed Balan Wonderworld to the world in 2020, I immediately felt that fans of 3D platformers would soon be experiencing something special. Not only did the game’s trailers exude a bold sense of style and charisma that felt genuinely endearing, but the game was also being helmed the creator of the Sonic the Hedgehog and Nights franchises. I was sold on the concept before I had even seen any gameplay – after all, with such an industry heavyweight leading the game’s development, what could possibly go wrong?

Immortals Fenyx Rising dev on Zelda: Breath of the Wild comparisons
Posted on 4 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 0 comments
Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Immortals Fenyx Rising have their fair share of similarities, which fans have been quick to point out. They’re both open-world action-adventure games, have mechanics like climbing and gliding, and offer mini dungeons with puzzles. Immorals Fenyx Rising does look to set itself apart by focusing on Greek mythology, a fully customizable character and more, but Ubisoft doesn’t view the Zelda comparisons as a negative thing.
Immortals Fenyx Rising associate director Julien Galloudec told Nintendo Everything that Breath of the Wild is one of the games Ubisoft looked at, especially when it came to puzzles. He also pointed out Jak & Daxter and Banjo-Kazooie as other titles the team explored.
Galloudec shared with us:
