MLB The Show no longer PlayStation-exclusive, Nintendo gives hope it’ll be on Switch

Sony has been working on its MLB The Show franchise going all the way back to 1997 when it was originally known as simply MLB. These baseball games have only been appearing on PlayStation platforms, but that’ll be changing in the future.
It was announced today that MLB The Show will be appearing on other platforms aside from PlayStation. Although further details haven’t been shared, Nintendo has given some hope that we’ll be seeing it on Switch when the exclusivity period ends as early as 2021. The company tweeted about news just a couple of minutes ago.

[Review] Alien: Isolation
Posted on 4 years ago by Dennis Gagliardotto(@LyonHart_) in Reviews, Switch | 0 comments
System: Switch (eShop)
Release date: December 5, 2019
Developer: Creative Assembly / Feral Interactive
Publisher: SEGA
The Alien franchise has had a long history that’s inspired countless properties from a wide array of mediums since its release in 1979, and has remained a seminal work of science fiction within film, games, and books alike. This year marks its 40th anniversary, and with that sees the Switch debut of what is, to me, one of the finest horror experiences ever made. Between crafting items, defending yourself by using various components you find throughout your survival, and the deep progression with hidden areas and rewards, Alien: Isolation is without a doubt one of the most faithful adaptations of any property and is certainly a labor of love.
[Nintendo Everything Podcast] – episode #57 – SNES love, Zelda Maker, Luigi’s Mansion: RE-turn to Sriracha Land
Posted on 4 years ago by Oni Dino(@Oni_Dino) in Podcast | 0 comments
Hello my 8-bit and 16-bit beauties. This week on NEP, we accidentally pitch our ideas for the next Luigi’s Mansion game (and the next) in a fervor of excitement. Then, Oni Dino is excited about Heroland while Galen critiques Bioware’s Anthem. Oni Dino goes on to talk his love for Breath of Fire II and Galen muses on the “Zelda II Maker” update we received in Super Mario Maker 2, and what Maker could be next. We then read some listener mail leading into next week’s The Game Awards, a New Year Nintendo Direct and Super Mario Sunshine… 2?
If you’re enjoying NEP, please consider giving us a 5 star review on Apple Podcasts, aka new iTunes. It’s incredibly helpful in getting us exposed to new listeners through algorithms, so we would greatly appreciate your help. Thank you for listening!
Baten Kaitos director reflects on Japanese commercial and Nintendo’s enthusiasm for the game
Posted on 4 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in GameCube, News | 0 comments
Monolith Soft is most commonly tied to the Xenoblade franchise these days, but the developer has worked on a number of other titles in the past. One such IP was Baten Kaitos, a GameCube-exclusive that originally released in Japan at the end of 2003 and a year later in the west.
Not too long ago, director Yasuyuki Honne reflected on the game, and more specifically, one of the game’s Japanese advert. Honne said Nintendo “was extremely happy that we were making a GameCube exclusive RPG for them, and without even knowing what the game was about, they made a teaser commercial”.

Disney action game remake apparently in the works for Switch

Playmagic is behind the upcoming remake of XIII, a Ubisoft shooter created during the GameCube era. That’s not the only project the studio is involved with, however.
Playmagic CEO Giuseppe Crugliano has indicated that the company is working on a remake of an action title from Disney. That news comes straight from Crugliano’s LinkedIn profile. The mystery remake is in development for Switch alongside PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac. No further information is provided, but it seems that the project may have kicked off in July.
