The Wild Area in Pokemon Sword and Shield lets players walk right up to any Pokemon they see on screen for a battle. As we heard previously, some of these creatures could be at a much higher level than anyone in your party.

USgamer reports that after stepping into the Wild Area for the first time, “you quickly come across Pokemon who are ten or fifteen levels above you” and are known as as “very strong Pokemon.” If you attempt to catch one, you’ll be told that’s not possible. However, you can take them down and earn a significant amount of experience. They also “respawn quickly”.

As for shiny Pokemon, USgamer shares the following:

Pokemon fans have come to know the GTS as the series’ way of trading. The feature has been removed in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield, but there is something in its place: Y-Comm.

The online servers for Sword and Shield are not actually live just yet. However, we do have some early information about how Y-Comm works thanks to early review copies.

Here’s what we know:

The latest Japanese hardware sales from Famitsu are as follows:

Yacht Club Games has finally set a release date for all of the upcoming Shovel Knight products. Shovel Knight: King of Cards, Shovel Knight Showdown, the physical version of Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove for Switch, the new amiibo 3-pack, and Gold Edition amiibo all launch on December 10.

Yacht Club wrote on its website today:

The buildup to Super Nintendo World continues. Construction has been in full swing leading up to the opening in time for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, and some new art has now apparently surfaced.

Xtrend Nikkei first posted the image online as part of a general article about Super Nintendo World. The piece has not been confirmed as official, though it matches previously-leaked photographs of the park’s model.

A number of new elements are shown in the supposed piece of art. These include the actual ride vehicles for Yoshi’s Adventure, augmented reality binoculars, and more. Orlando ParkStop was kind enough to label all of the important aspects, which you can see above.

Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield

The Pokemon Company has published a bi, official interview with Pokemon Sword/Shield director Shigeru Ohmori and producer Junichi Masuda. The two developers had plenty to say about new features that are included, the decision to return to Gyms following Pokemon Sun/Moon, going about making new Pokemon, and how it was decided to give certain Pokemon Galar variants and new evolutions. Of course, there are some other topics as well.

We’ve rounded up the full interview with Ohmori and Masuda. You can read the discussion in full below.

Pokemon Sword/Shield

Due to a number of leaks, the full Pokedex for Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield was made known. Yet while it was thought that all creatures were confirmed, it seems that there are plans for a few additional ones.

The following Pokemon have stats and models, in addition to new sprites:

Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield are dropping a bunch of moves, datamining has revealed. A complete list has already been posted online – ahead of the November 15 release – showing which ones were ultimately revealed.

As Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield approach their November 15 launch date, a “final” Japanese trailer has just now been issued. See it below.

Two more games debuted in the UK last week: Just Dance 2020 and Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. There are interesting things to say about both.

As for Just Dance 2020, it debuted on the charts at #15. What’s noteworthy is the platform breakdown. Switch led the way with 55 percent of all Just Dance 2020 sales. Next up was Wii at 21 percent, followed by the PlayStation 4 at 14 percent and Xbox One at 10 percent. That means Just Dance 2020 sold more on Wii than Sony and Microsoft’s consoles.

As for Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, it came in at #8. The title is the series’ most successful entry since Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games, a Wii title from 2011.
