At E3 2019, SEGA kindly invited us to their booth for some personal time with their line-up of offerings. In part five of this series, I’ll be taking a retrospective look at my experience with a new entry in a game series that still blows my mind that it even exists: Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.

You can hear me chatting about all things Nintendo (and more) on our weekly podcast, available on iTunes, Spotify, and many other platforms.

For detailed impressions of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, check below the break.

Earlier this year, River City Girls was announced by WayForward and Arc System Works. The Kunio-kun game was thought to be coming to Switch, which is now officially confirmed.

River City Girls is releasing for Nintendo’s console on September 5. Here’s an overview, along with the debut trailer:

Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath was announced for Switch last September, but then sort of disappeared. We haven’t heard anything about its status since then.

Fortunately, the port is still in the works. And on top of that, it sounds like some very big news about the series overall could be announced in the near future.

This week’s North American Nintendo Downloads are as follows:

Switch Retail

Penguin Wars – $14.99
Senran Kagura Peach Ball – $39.99 (available July 9)

Super Mario Maker 2

The latest Japanese hardware sales from Famitsu are as follows:

Update: NIS America has now confirmed the localization. Full announcement and trailer added below.

Original: Langrisser I & II will be released in the west, according to Amazon Germany. Nintendo Everything spotted the listings from the retailer earlier today.

NIS America will be handling Langrisser I & II in North America and Europe. Although we don’t have a release window yet, Amazon Germany lists the game for March 31, 2020. That would tell us NIS America is planning the western launch during the first half of 2020.

Langrisser I & II were fully remade for Switch, including the graphics, gameplay systems, and more. New content was also added with extra scenarios, an original heroine, and more endings in the first game.

As fans know, Cuphead has some new DLC on the way. The Delicious Last Course was previously announced, but has now been hit with a delay. The DLC will release sometime in 2020 after it was previously on track for sometime this year.

Here’s a new teaser trailer for The Delicious Last Course:

Following its release in Japan, Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and The Millionaires’ Conspiracy – Deluxe Edition has been announced for the west. The game will release on Switch on November 8 in both North America and Europe.

Here’s an overview of the game:

Famitsu revealed today that Marvelous is bringing a remake of Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town to Nintendo Switch. The game will be released on October 17 in Japan. More details will be revealed in the next issue of Famitsu magazine; for now, all we have are the piece of artwork you see above and the three screenshots and the preview of the Famitsu article below:

At E3 2019, Nintendo kindly invited us to their booths for a private look at their most important upcoming titles of the year. In part four of this series, we’ll be taking a look at a game I found to be a mixed bag… The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening.

You can check out footage of Oni Dino playing games from E3 on our YouTube and hear Oni Dino chat about gaming and more on our weekly podcast (available on iTunes, Spotify, and many more platforms).
