North American retailers are offering all sorts of bundle packs. Amazon has the steelbook, and Best Buy/GameStop are selling a standard version with two codes that unlock 100 Poke Balls each.

Last year, late Nintendo president Satoru Iwata was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Golden Joysticks. Another important staffer at the company was given the same honor today: Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma.

Aonuma wasn’t in attendance, but he did deliver a thoughtful pre-recorded speech. We have it in full below.

Aside from Aonuma’s award, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was selected as the best Nintendo game of the year while Pokemon GO picked up a win as the best handheld/mobile title as well as Innovation of the Year.

The European Super Mario Maker for 3DS website is now open. You can find it right here.

On the extras page, you’ll find a special goodie: a PDF of course planning sheets. These design sheets are the same ones used by Shigeru Miyamoto and the original Super Mario Bros. development team.

Nintendo started handing out bans to Pokemon Sun/Moon pirates this week. Not only are they unable to play the games online, but they’re also unable to access internet services on the 3DS itself such as the eShop.

We heard a few reports that some of the folks affected would only be banned fifteen days – mainly those who had only committed a first time offense. However, it would seem that it’s actually permanent.

In a customer service email Nintendo is sending out in Germany, bans won’t be undone and “undoing this is out of the question.” You can read it in full below.
