Shikabanegurai no Boukenmeshi trailer

Nippon Ichi Software is back with a second trailer for Shikabanegurai no Boukenmeshi, its upcoming survival strategy RPG for Switch. It covers various aspects of dungeon crawling such as combat and cooking.

Pokemon Evolutions episode 8

Episode 8 for Pokemon Evolutions, which happens to be the final part of the anime mini series, is now available. This one is titled “The Discovery”.

We’re going back to the region that started it all as today’s episode is all about Kanto. As teased in the official description: “Did you hear the rumor? What might be the most powerful Pokémon ever has been discovered in Kanto! Green has begun her search for this elusive Pokemon… but she’s not the only one racing to catch it! Join the quest in the thrilling finale of Pokémon Evolutions!”

The Pokemon Company has announced that in celebration of last month’s release of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, an orchestra will be playing an arrangement of the games’ original soundtrack.

Sonic Chronicles intro cinematic

More than a decade after the game’s original release, a cut animated intro cinematic has been revealed for Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood.

The game was made for the DS by BioWare, the studio behind Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and titles like Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. The company hasn’t done much with Nintendo platforms, but worked with SEGA to make Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood on DS exclusively.

Record of Lodoss War Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth gameplay

Gameplay has surfaced for Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth, Team Ladybug’s 2D action-exploration Metroidvania game. We have just over a half hour of footage.

Nintendo is the kind of developer that’s not afraid to drastically change gameplay elements in a series. Usually their teams are always implementing new ideas and concepts in each new game. Paper Mario is probably one of the most famous examples – since Super Paper Mario on the Wii, each new game has been different.

Right now on the Switch, you can play the first and the last entries in the Paper Mario series. Seeing how much the franchise has changed over the years, I found it interesting to analyze the many differences in world building between Paper Mario on the N64 and Origami King on Switch, comparing how effective they are. Lacuna trailer

Ahead of its upcoming launch, publisher Assemble Entertainment and developer DigiTales Interactive have issued a launch trailer for Lacuna. It provides another look at the upcoming noir adventure game for Switch.

Here’s some additional information about Lacuna:

Bandai Namco and CyberConnect2 have unveiled a new Japanese trailer for .hack//G.U. Last Recode on Switch, showing off some gameplay and the physical Begins Edition. Check it out with the video below the break.

Gardener's Path gameplay

We reported earlier today that Gardener’s Path is inbound for Switch this week, and we now have gameplay. The footage shows off the turn-based puzzle game.

Lumote physical

Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles is slated for an early 2022 release on Switch and a physical version is on the way, publisher Wired Productions and developer Luminawesome Games have confirmed.

The 3D puzzle platformer was announced for Switch earlier this year. However, it did not have a launch window at the time.
